it seems to me[edit]

that this link in the article - College of Physicians and Surgeons - goes nowhere useful. I thought perhaps that school became the medical school at Johns Hopkins (founded a few years after Martin graduated), but can't find the connection, yet. Yes, I did a bit of searching myself but was unable to clarify that. Baltimore City Hospital did become the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, but I wasn't able to find what happened to the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Balitmore. Yworo (talk) 20:06, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK, it was associated with Mercy Hospital. Here's an old postcard. Yworo (talk) 20:13, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ugh, according to this source BCH became Mercy, not JHBMC. Not sure where the latter was sourced from for the JHBMC Wikipedia article. Yworo (talk) 20:23, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK, CPS merged with University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1915. See List of medical schools in the United States. Yworo (talk) 20:33, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nice tracking down. I see that you've added a shot of the grave. it will do nicely until a better time of day (afternoon?) one shows up. That cemetery is worth a fair amount of time poking around in. Also, the wikipedia page on citing sources has the page number last. Not that it really matter. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 16:11, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
