Description of "Wizard of Oz" content

[edit]

I believe we can significantly trim the description of the tornado scene from the film The Wizard of Oz. The description as currently established does not contribute to understanding of the origins of Tim Samaras' interest in meteorological science. Readers of Samaras' article probably only need to know that the film features a scene with a tornado, but editors could be more explicit by saying "The film contains a scene in which a tornado sucks the main character and her farmhouse away."Ofidian (talk) 01:32, 1 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I removed it as irrelevant fluff. It's also pretty shamelessly copied from this obituary. --Animalparty! (talk) 20:05, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
