Neutrality

[edit]

I deleted a couple of blatantly non-neutral POV sentences, including the following:

'President Wolfe has been unable to come to grips with the mounting racial tensions on Mizzou’s campus and the fact that he, as a white male raised in Columbia, MO, is not the face of “progress” sought by Mizzou’s protestors.'

'Yet, such intentions are likely too little to late as the embattled University President faces mounting national consensus that the University of Missouri needs real change beginning with him.' Sadiemonster (talk) 15:07, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Answer to Neutrality

[edit]

Thanks for the edits. You were right to remove those two sentences, I'm going to add back the numerical indications. JJUGA08 (talk) 16:33, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Look someone keeps reverting this article to the pre-controversy form. Here's the sources. Here's the original article with some of the revisions y'all added. Please help me keep this up.

Editors who are adding in the volume of information that has been added to this page recently should review Wikipedia:Recentism. This is a page about an individual, and it is significantly slanted when the level of detail about every incident alleged to have occured is included. Sources

[edit]

Nothing in the racial controversy section is sourced. Someone came in and just wrote numbers in superscripts without a matching souce Workacct771 (talk)

I just replaced all those with citation needed tags. I thought someones wikisyntax was wrong at first. XinJeisan (talk) 15:26, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I see what happened: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Timothy_M._Wolfe&type=revision&diff=689741383&oldid=689738637 XinJeisan (talk) 15:33, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Just to make it easy, here is the original edit with all the references in place, hopefully someone with more time than me can put them back into the article. XinJeisan (talk) 15:44, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Resigned?

[edit]

I just reverted some edits from an account claiming Wolfe has resigned. Such information shouldn't be added until there's a reputable source. -Reagle (talk) 16:26, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A source has been added. I've also tried to cut down some of the volume of information exclusively related to this issue in an attempt to comply with Wikipedia's Recent Events standards.JCO312 (talk) 16:48, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
A screenshot of the infobox when it listed him as "unemployed" is making the rounds on Twitter and Facebook. Funny! Mark Schierbecker (talk) 20:16, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Good, thanks! -Reagle (talk) 21:42, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Racial controversy and resignation

[edit]

This section is very good and does not hold back. I vote we keep it as-is until further developments. Allen750 (talk) 04:44, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, it's actually quite informative to those (like myself) who have been drawn attention to this through social media. More specifically when I saw video of the protesters harassing a member of the press. I'm not sure if there's a reaction from the media to this kind of action, but it definitely appears to be a growing trend in the US. But at this point that's another topic entirely; I'm just glad this turned out quite well-sourced to my novice eyes. Sethyre (talk) 08:17, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Timothy WolfeTim Wolfe – "Tim" is preferred over "Timothy" from this random search of "mizzou, wolfe." [1][2] [3] [4] Mark Schierbecker (talk) 02:37, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
