Talk:Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear
Incomplete Add-On list
[edit]One Stand-alone Add-On is missing: Rainbow Six: Covert Ops. Maybe someone os so kind to write something about it. --ChrisJG 11:28, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hey, looks like someone added it some time in the last seventeen years since you wrote this. Nice catch, though! 2600:1010:B1A9:7AD0:8833:25FF:FEE0:E37E (talk) 05:19, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
PINNACLE - EMPTY QUIVER
[edit]The weapons weren't lost, seized, or stolen, exactly. They were independently manufactured. That's what it says elsewhere in the text. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.4.90.4 (talk) 23:36, 4 February 2007 (UTC).
Former Players Griefing this Article
[edit]It's no secret that numerous former online players of Rogue Spear who still have got an axe to grind come here and edit the article. The list of "notable clans" at the bottom of the multiplayer section seems to change daily, (as well as have childish assaults edited in) I would suggest removing the "notable clan" line all together.
Release Date
[edit]Has anyone noticed that the US release date given in the opening paragraph is 22 September 1999, while the release date in the info box is 31 August 1999? --ExarPalantas (talk) 16:48, 20 June 2008 (UTC)
- Fixed. I believe the official date is the first, the 22nd of September (in the US, anyway). --Fbh bard (talk) 17:38, 29 August 2008 (UTC)
- It definitely was not released August 31st in the US. I remember buying this game the first weekend it came out, after reading the book. I read the book in class, so it was sometime in September when it came out. Venomgyz (talk) 02:59, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
- Further evidence is the fact that the readme in the Rogue Spear installation is dated September 1999. Venomgyz (talk) 11:07, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
Warning, this article is now on the list of spam targets
[edit]I just reverted yet another anonymous IP address whose only edits were to add in spam links to Voobly. [1]. There are constant efforts for this site to slip in spam to other game sites, such as the Age of Kings, and Microsoft Ants. Dozens of reverts from different editors have been necessary over the past months this has been going on. Please watch out for it happening here, they usually trying again, after a few weeks, and sometimes skipping a month or so. Dream Focus 06:39, 15 November 2010 (UTC)
A mission being removed because of 9/11
[edit]Initially this was about me finding no sources to support this, but I managed to find this covering the addon "Black Thorn" being postponed due to the September 11 attacks. If it was the main game, this would surely be notable, but this being an addon that's only covered in passing in the main game's article, I don't really think it's that notable to mention it; it runs into WP:NOT's territory. Here's the version I arrived to before coming to the above realization: "The title was initially postponed due to the September 11 attacks". Eik Corell (talk) 17:18, 3 May 2016 (UTC)
- They also changed the mission "Operation Blunt Scroll" to a bus station instead of an airport terminal. LuckyLopp (talk) 03:11, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
Inclusion of Black Ops?
[edit]I'm wondering if we should include mention of the Black Ops fan-made compilation pack that was released, maybe under a "Legacy" section. LuckyLopp (talk) 02:57, 4 January 2024 (UTC)
