Numbers

'Eastick was responsible for: accepting the surrender of the Japanese in his zone and interning them; releasing and evacuating around 2,017 Allied prisoners of war (POWs) and internees, including 400 stretcher cases and 237 women and children; and establishing military control in the zone. This included liberating and repatriating Allied POWs held in the large Batu Lintang camp.'

This needs rephrasing as the numbers quoted were all from Batu Lintang camp. I would go with something like

'Eastick was responsible for: accepting the surrender of the Japanese in his zone and interning them; liberating and evacuating around 2,017 Allied prisoners of war (POWs) and internees held in the large Batu Lintang camp, including 400 stretcher cases and 237 women and children; and establishing military control in the zone.' He was involved in evacuating the POWs and internees to the RAPWI camp in Labuan, but no further in their repatriation.
