Added in vital information about the Sakai Merchant's involvement
[edit]Pretty good article, however it fails to take note of one important Japanese involvement, actually there was also Luzon Sukezaemon, but more sources need to be found for that. Here are my sources of the Sakai Merchant's Involvement.

"In 1588, the Spaniards crushed the revolt of the nobles of the Kingdom of Luzon in Tondo (Santiago, 1990). It was led by the descendants of the Lakandula and their kinsmen with the assistance of the influential Japanese merchants of Sakai"

"This man was a Sakai merchant who had traded in the Philippines; in 1591 he and others proposed to Hideyoshi an invasion of the islands"

"the Revolt of the Lakans in Pampanga in 1585 and in Tondo in 1588 was probably prompted and funded by the merchants of Sakai"

From "Conspiracy of the Maharlikas" to "Tondo Conspiracy"
[edit]This page is being moved to "Tondo Conspiracy" based on interal check of references used by this page. Google hits have not been used as a basis for this move because the results keep showing Wikipedia Mirror Sites. An addition, the use of the term "Maharlika" presents difficulties because the historical terms "Lakan", "Maginoo", and "Maharlika" are often mistakenly thought to be synonymous; they are not. As shown below, the sources currently cited by this page do not use "Conspiracy of the Maharlikas" and use the term "Tondo Conspiracy" instead.

This table is here to explain the logic behind the move. Thanks. - Alternativity (talk) 06:18, 20 October 2017 (UTC)
