Why are Ride and Shred considered "spin-offs"?[edit]

These are "main" games in the series. They were developed by Robomodo (the primary developers of the series after Neversoft) and released for all three major seventh generation home consoles (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Wii). I can't find any evidence that they are "spin-offs" of the series, and I don't remember them ever being described as such. Jericho735 (talk) 21:44, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Misc[edit]

I saw a word repeated twice under the "Robomodo era (2008–15)" section near the end. Your quest is to find it and fix it!  — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.4.117.69 (talk) 13:02, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The 1 Billion dollar fact needs a source. --98.4.117.69 (talk) 13:03, 17 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Would like to see a table listing the games release dates and platforms.

Tone[edit]

This article doesn't seem to meet the formal tone required by Wikipedia, with personal claims, such as Activision has released a number of follow-ups which have been better if not equally as good, and phrases such as pro skaters were now "mo-capped," use terms that some would be unfamiliar with.

I suggest some changes of tone, point of view and so forth so that it sounds more professional. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.134.239.230 (talk) 11:39, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Activision has released a number of follow-ups which have been better if not equally as good" Source? Opinion me thinks.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.142.109.146 (talk) 11:06, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Song Lists[edit]

it appears that some people have been going around and deleting soundtrack/song lists from the Tony Hawk articles. Please stop that. It is specially annoying when people do that without dropping a single line on the talk pages. If you have a problem with these lists, lets discuss that. I've seen video game pages that contain song/soundtrack lists and they look really nice like the ones they have on the Guitar Hero games. Instead of deleting them i invite everybody to improve them. but I guess that if someone is really upset about having these lists on the main pages we could reach a compromise. so please let's discuss this first and stop the edit warring that has been going on over the song lists---djsiniestros (talk) 23:50, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Tony Hawk Games Wiki[edit]

We need your help at the Tony Hawk Games Wiki, which can be found here. It is very lonely. There are only about 3 users on there. Ifanyone of you join, and have questions, please see this user page. --74.11.132.159 (talk) 22:45, 28 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Messy first section[edit]

The first section is messy and hard to read, and far too long. I've added a chronological list of released games in the series - couldn't this just replace the first section entirely, keeping only a brief summary of what the series is? ZombieLoffe (talk) 22:10, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Main vs. Spin-Off?[edit]

I wonder, who determines what's a "Main game" and what's a "Spin-off" in the Tony Hawk series?174.219.25.74 (talk) 20:49, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

I disagree with the renaming of this article. Since when is the whole series, which only includes five games with "Pro Skater" in the title, known as the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series? Tezero (talk) 19:57, 16 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

    • I agree just because there some games with Pro Skater in the title just isn't enough reason to change the whole series title. Also there wasn't any discussion in the talk page about the move, If people wants to changed it to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series then they need to have a discussion for it. Am I the only user/editor that realizes the name of this page has extremely poor grammar? Wouldn't a better name choice be Tony Hawk (video game series)? Then the page can be broken down into sub-series (i.e.: Pro Skater, Underground, etc.). I would argue that this page definitely needs to be renamed.

Ride/Shred as spin-offs?[edit]

Are Ride and Shred not actually main games? I cannot remember that they were promoted as spin-offs or were regarded as such by major gaming sites. On the contrary, I think they were promoted like all other entries in the series and I wonder who defines them as spinn offs and why (most likely the highly different controls eh?)... --DasallmächtigeJ (talk) 15:55, 24 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I agree; they are "main" installments of the series. Jericho735 (talk) 22:00, 25 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Does anyone else think that that the skaters on Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 that don't have there own article, need there own article created? Wikiman103 talk 15:31, 26 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
