thoughts on moving this page to a new page called The Ring Road, Townsville and Thuringowa[edit]

can i have some thoughts on moving this page to one called something along the lines of The Ring Road, Townsville & Thuringowa as this road is not called the Townsville ring road, that was the projects name. The main roads own website calls it the Ring road as does every sign in Townsville and Thuringowa, so any thoughts would be great, i'll give it about 2 weeks or so and if no ideas come in i will make the move. thanks Thuringowacityrep 12:19, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry mate, i moved the page to Townsville/Thuringowa Ring Road as that is the officially listed name of the project on the Main roads website. Intially the project itself was the Townsville Ring Road and that was my reason for calling the article that in the first place. However, even though the article is now listed as Townsville/Thuringowa Ring Road, i will change the links in several pages in the next coming weeks, in the mean time, the links will still be "Townsville Ring Road" - Gertzy 14:00 (UTC) 13th April, 2007.

Merger proposal[edit]

I propose that Douglas Arterial Road be merged into Townsville Ring Road. Douglas Arterial Road was built as stage 1 of the Townsville Ring Road and thus there is no longer a need for a separate article. Unexplained bulk removal of content[edit]

@Evad37: An IP editor recently removed much of the content (admitted somewhat outdated) from this article without explanation. I note that he has a history of such actions.
