Twyford School is definitely not the oldest prep school in England - even St Albans school is older! Ghfj007 16:10, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Whether or not it is the oldest, it claims to be - [1] hence the wording of the article. The only prep schools I can find information on in St Albans are St Columba's (est 1955) and Beechwood, others in the area now being fully independent schools. Even St. Alban's school is now fully independent and educates pupils up the age of 18, far outside the prep school range of age 8-13. - Foxhill 16:36, 3 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have now referenced this claim. Camaron1 | Chris 20:25, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Assessment[edit]

I have assessed this article as Stub / Mid. The claim has elevated this articles importance for now, despite the fact this article is only one sentence of encyclopedic information. Much expansion is needed. Camaron1 | Chris 20:28, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tis expanded ! Pedro |  Chat  14:32, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed, good work. Camaron1 | Chris 17:59, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
As we discussed on your talk page I'd like to get a photo for this. The buildings are great and it ould be good for the article, but it may be tricky (i.e. taking photos of private premises / school children etc). If anyone else can get a free use image (possibly a student or master at the school?) this would be great!Pedro |  Chat  20:45, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the school assessment to Start due to the large amount of improvement and expansion. Camaron1 | Chris 19:56, 13 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Major edit and notables.[edit]

I have added more notable former pupils... quite a few are red-linked, but from research, all appear worthy of addition. I might get round to starting a few articles here... can anybody help? I have added an infobox. As mentioned above, a photo in the box would be good. I have telephoned the school and put the photo idea to it. I have re-formulated the text, putting allied sentences together, added a section for history, used the first sentence as a header, generally compacted the text and removed superfluity, without removing the sense of the thing.

Just a note: I am not, or have never been, associated with the school, or to anybody who is, or has been, to my knowledge associated with the school.
