Nikola Kavaja

[edit]

I've made several changes in the section about intended terrorist attack by Kavaja. First of all, his last name is Kavaja, not Kavaji. I removed the statement that if succeeds, the attack would put an end to communism in Yugoslavia (I simply don't know where the idea came from, but it's very unlikely). His intention was to kill Tito (ironically, Tito allegedly entered the building only once). -- Obradović Goran (talk 21:26, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article needs to be edited, full of spelling and grammar mistakes... I have no time and inclinations to do so, sorry but my life does not involve around wiki.

Also many facts in this article are make belief, simply we need accurate source for every fact that is being presented in the article. 88.111.164.220 12:38, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Usce Tower Height Disputed

[edit]

Ušće Tower's height (claimed to be 148 m) is disputed because Serbs added simple atnenne on top of the building so they could claim the tallest building in the Balkans after Bosmal was built. In strict architectural terms, adding separate anthene on a building does not count toward its structural height.Bosniak (talk) 05:41, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The height is bloody mess. Nobody seems to freaking know it: even the sources are conflicting. The previous version of this article was rightfully ridiculed on this forum http://www.skyscrapercity.com/archive/index.php/t-519256.html. RTS and Kurir say 140/141 m [1], and earlier sources, like Danas, say 134. This is apparently with antenna included.

Roof height is also a mystery. Pretty much all sources say it's 105 m, but it's unclear if it's before or after the reconstruction. 2 floors were really added in 2003, and they're extra-high, as it can be seen on picture, so they add up to some 10m. So the people http://www.skyscrapercity.com/archive/index.php/t-519256.html concluded that it's some 115 m now, and it makes sense, but I can't verify it. Note that the antenna is fairly high, some 20-30 m at least. List of tallest buildings in Serbia says 115, but without source.

Further, the antenna has always existed. At least, it can be seen in the 1999 Vreme photo [2]. No such user (talk) 14:05, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Observation Deck

[edit]

I visited the Usce tower recently, and I found the observation deck to be closed to the public. The receptionist informed me that there were plans to open it to the public in the future.Addejong89 (talk) 20:40, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
