Assessment Report[edit]

  1. Article needs to be massively expanded using Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements as a guide.
  2. It should contain more information than mainly local and national government election and representation information.
  3. It should make use of sections, using Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements as a guide.
  4. Infobox to be added (use Template:Infobox UK place.) at some point, I don't know when or by who)
  5. Photos need to be added.
  6. References and Citations are crucial for wikipedia, and so these must be added as the article is expanded. Make sure that as many as possible are "in-line" citations.(See WP:References, WP:V, and WP:CITE for guidance.)

Minimum Standards[edit]

I have now updated this artice. It may now meet the minimum standards. Mikeroberts 15:46, 8 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Further updates done. Now more detailed and organised. Tag removed, let me know if this is a problem. Mikeroberts 20:52, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality[edit]

I have removed/changed parts of the article which were clearly biased. Would everone kindly act less childishly when writing something related to their own political views? "Wikipedia is not a soapbox". RJE42 17:25, 25 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Upton by ChesterUpton-by-Chester – Per the Ordnance Survey. The settlement is simply "Upton" but parish name serves as natural disambiguation. The parish council is called Upton-by-Chester & District Parish Council and the high school is also called Upton-by-Chester High School[1] Crouch, Swale (talk) 21:20, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support - usage seems variable (even the parish council spells it both ways), but the hyphenated version is generally more common, and the official parish name is a good a choice as any. John Womble (talk) 15:34, 3 December 2020 (UTC)----[reply]
