I met Vera Lüth in 1995 at SLAC, but I have had no contact with her for at least 20 years. Nevertheless, I appreciate the help of other editors to ensure NPOV in this biography. — Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 00:53, 18 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
"Lüth began her career at CERN as a scientific associate from 1984–1985,[3] working with Jack Steinberger and others" Shouldn't that be 1972-1974? She was working on her doctoral thesis (awarded by Heidelberg university) but the actual work was done at CERN. The link given in the article is broken.
I can't point to a printed source but I knew Vera Lüth slightly at CERN at the time, and she had an office at CERN and lived in an apartment nearby (in Coppet IIRC). Maybe someone can find a printed source and update the page? Sayitclearly (talk) 10:17, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Sayitclearly: I've added wording and citations clarifying that her dissertation work took place at CERN, and that she returned to CERN following a post-doc at SLAC. Thanks for pointing out the discrepancy in the former text. Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 20:09, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
