New additions[edit]

I took the liberty to complete the lede (which may need a copy edit) and added a few refs here and there to help with getting it into C class. It will need a few more refs which I will work on over the next few days. -- Cassianto (talk) 02:19, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The impressions of her contemporaries[edit]

I have seen this new section which has been added by User:Aristofane di bisanzio and I'm somewhat disappointed to see no source for the information provided. I have left a message on his/her talk page requesting a source but I have not deleted it yet as I thought I would give them a chance to add one. -- Cassianto^Talk 09:09, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Moreover, I had already moved the Acton quote further up in the article to a more appropriate section and added an appropriate reference. The long quote by Acton, as originally inserted, was more about Acton than Vanbrugh and added very little new information of interest about Vanbrugh. Because of its excessive length and prominence (it does not need its own section heading), it was also inconsistent with WP:BALANCE. I have therefore streamlined it to include only the most relevant information about Vanbrugh. -- Ssilvers (talk) 14:25, 12 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
