Francoise Durr holds the record for the number of wins in this tournament . Where are the results pre 1969 ? She won in 1965 and 1966 aswell as the two listed here 1969 and 1971 . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.28.15.58 (talk) 21:48, 18 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Move requirements[edit]

Discuss before moving an event that has had the same name for 100 years. I put this in the wrong place before. Fyunck(click) (talk) 22:41, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Also, do we know the event will be using the history of the old tournament from 22 years ago, or will it be starting afresh? Fyunck(click) (talk) 22:48, 18 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That's a good question. The WTA tournament page doesn't link to the old tournament's drawsheets. Sorry about the inappropriate move. I'm still always learning (hopefully). Hermionedidallthework (talk) 00:43, 19 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
We usually stick to the most commonly known non-sponsored name. If an event has a long long history as the Antarctic Championships, but in the last few years it was renamed as the Iceberg Flow Open (but still links to the history of the Antarctic Championships), we tend not to change it. 90% of the listed winners would have won the Antarctic Championships not the Iceberg Flow Open.
