[edit]I had some problems translating the plaque at Ichi no Torii. If anyone is fluent in pre-war Japanese, please check its final part. urashimataro (talk) 04:57, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
Editing war on komainu
[edit]I noticed there is some editing war on "komainu".
I would like to propose to use wording from the source as exact as possible . The source reads; "Thought to have been brought to Japan from China via Korea, their name is derived from Koma 高麗, the Japanese term for the Korean kingdom of Koguryo 高句麗."
So I modified as follow; "so called because they were thought to have been brought to Japan from China via Korea, their name is derived from "Koma" (高麗), the Japanese term for the Korean kingdom of Koguryo" Phoenix7777 (talk) 06:45, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
