Untitled[edit]

I added a link to the novella, which is hosted (with the author's permission) at http://www.geocities.com/jeremyalansmith/level9/wdreams.htm The link was removed automatically because it's on Geocities, but I don't believe that it otherwise contravenes guidelines - and does add to the usefulness of the entry 62.108.137.10 (talk) 14:58, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Found it at http://www.sanfransys.com/homepages/level9/wdreams.htm --2600:1700:28A0:DDE0:8137:7527:D3DC:561A (talk) 21:03, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not exactly up for interpretation[edit]

I changed "giant roast chicken with mouth" to "disembodied lower jaw (human; with mouth set in where the "chin" would be)". predcon (talk) 21:07, 22 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

DOS release year[edit]

It doesn't seem accurate that the DOS version was actually released within 1988 as the first version of the game, especially when all evidence I can find points to the novella being copyrighted 1989. (Does the DOS version use the novella for copy protection?)

I don't think we consider MobyGames to be a reliable source. This needs some expert investigation.

(The article is also a bit over-wikified, but that's a topic for a separate discussion.) --SoledadKabocha (talk) 22:01, 10 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Emily and Zelloripus[edit]

From my understanding of the novella, Emily is an incarnation of Zelloripus, not (as the plot section currently claims) a separate person possessed by Zelloripus. Does any version of the game contain an instruction manual which says otherwise?

What needs to be done to satisfy our reliable-sourcing requirements? (None of the websites I can find which currently have a functioning copy of the novella seem to be official.) --SoledadKabocha (talk) 00:54, 27 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Emily is an incarnation, a forced punishment for past crimes. From the novella, Chapter 1: ″So mere bad timing could explain Steve's unhappy encounter with Zelloripus, or Emily as she should be called, on this day in particular." 2600:1700:28A0:DDE0:8137:7527:D3DC:561A (talk) 21:10, 13 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Platformer?[edit]

I have some memory of playing this at the time, but didn't remember it as a platform game. I looked up some gameplay videos, and it seems more like an adventure game with action elements. The character constantly remains on one visual plane, doesn't jump to higher or lower surfaces. Kumagoro-42 (talk) 17:23, 30 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
