It is a good idea to leave the red link to Hoxton Square if you think the article should exist, or in due course will exist. Red links can prompt article creation. I suggest reverting, as the Square is well known enough to generate its own article. Tyrenius 02:23, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- Sure. I removed it because I noticed that there was already a link to 'Hoxton' earlier in the article. Cheers, Jacklee 06:05, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
- OK, have restored the link to 'Hoxton Square'. Cheers, Jacklee 21:09, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Now you've reinstated it, maybe you might be tempted to start the article! Tyrenius 01:14, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- Not within my area of expertise, I'm afraid. :-) Cheers, Jacklee 01:24, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Disambiguation
[edit]I wonder is the concept of the 'white cube' a precursor to the gallery, or did the gallery popularise the former? I stumbled across this article searching for the concept. I think we need a disambiguation page. Enaikei (talk) 19:35, 7 January 2009 (UTC)
- I think it's a precursor to the gallery. It will get disambiguated when there is another article on white cube. Ty 02:23, 8 January 2009 (UTC)
the white cube is a theoretical concept, the gallery appropriates the term as the name. there should be a disambiguation page once the separate article exists, even if as a stub. the white cube (term) page can be something similar to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third_wall or similar to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altermodern where the term is attributed to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_O%27Doherty.
I am not a registered use, so i cannot create the page, but i will gladly contribute if someone takes that first step. 141.54.138.32 (talk) 20:27, 16 April 2011 (UTC)
Metro use of Wikipedia
[edit]A review of Fred Tomaselli on 1 April 2009 in Metro included:
- Ironically, Wikipedia currently states that: 'White Cube is one of the most prominent contemporary commercial art galleries in the world (citation needed).' After this latest in a series of charmless exhibitions, it is little wonder that no one can remember why the gallery earned its international reputation in the first place. Nazi ties
[edit]Come on. 81.178.215.33 (talk) 21:09, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Agreed. I'm not going to be the one to do it, but someone should definitely mention the fascistic origins of this whole thing. 212.85.14.98 (talk) 09:53, 11 February 2011 (UTC)
