Wisden obituary
[edit]In its electronic version at least, Wisden's obituary of Caldwell (published in the 1965 Almanack) contains errors. As well as giving his name as "The Rev. Somerville Caldwell" (no mention of William), it erroneously gives Caldwell's county as Somerset, while giving his 1903 score against Sussex as 113 instead of the correct 133. There are enough other details to make me reasonably convinced that this is an erroneous obituary of the same man, rather than a correct one of somebody else, so I have not used this obituary as a source here.
