Xu

[edit]

This one is probably more important, but it should still be more clearly distinguished from the state of Xǔ (许) either by rank (if one was a kingdom and the other a march, e.g.); by position in China (modern province); or most likely by tone (the other is Xǔ). — LlywelynII 12:23, 6 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

– The current naming scheme contravenes WP:NCCHINA, which states: "The titles of Chinese entries should follow current academic conventions, which generally means Hanyu Pinyin without tone marks." Hence both articles should have a base title of "Xu" with some disambiguator in parentheses. The first one gets only 3.5x the pageviews of the second one, which IMO fails to clear extremely high bar (e.g. Thriller (album)) required to declare a primary topic of a parenthetically disambiguated term (see WP:PDAB). I think Xu (Huai River valley) and Xu (Henan) could work, but I'm open to other suggestions. King of ♥ 13:17, 20 May 2020 (UTC) Relisting. buidhe 21:07, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Xǔ (state)is not interested to change to Xu (Henan), Henan is not all from Xǔ still got many of state, your suggestion was not really correct. If have any decision from politic of China or government also need Xǔ (state)government to make decision, not us. K.b.cheng (talk) 10:23, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@K.b.cheng: Unfortunately it's not clear what you are saying. Can you please repost what you just said in Chinese, if that's easier for you? I can help translate your message. -- King of ♥ 14:57, 22 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
