Naming
[edit]The article was moved from Yoko Soumi to here per WP:MOS-JP. However, per her official profile on Mausu Promotion, her name is spelled as "Yoko Soumi", which is more or less her official romanization. Should we move it back? Thanks, Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 09:13, 4 February 2017 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Moved. I've got no opinion and no one else really elucidated on her first name, but as a reminder to all... If there's not enough discussion, we just do what the original proposal says. (non-admin closure) Red Slash 23:58, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Yōko Sōmi → Yoko Soumi – As per the relevant guideline at WP:MOS-JP#Modern names, "Use the form personally or professionally used by the person, if available in the English/Latin alphabet." In this case, her name is romanized as Yoko Soumi as per her official profile. Lord Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 21:26, 21 December 2019 (UTC) —Relisting. - "Soumi" is correct and "Sōmi" is wrong in either event, I think (this is a non-standard reading of 沢 to me). It doesn't qualify for "ō" because the "u" belongs to the second kanji. However, I'm not sure the linked site qualifies as self-identification. I would prefer to move this to Yōko Soumi for accuracy. Dekimasuよ! 22:54, 21 December 2019 (UTC)
