Cyrillic names[edit]

Their web site is only available in English and Russian. The latter gives the Russian name as «Судостроительный завод «Залив» translit: "Sudostroitelnyi zavod "Zaliv"

The Russian word залив (zaliv), which means "a bay" is best translated into Ukrainian as затока, (zatoka). But since this is a part of the name, I would imagine the Ukrainian name of the facility would still be "Залiв" (Zaliv) obtained from Russian "Залив" through transliteration.

"Судостроительный завод" (shipbuilding facility, plant or yard) is translated into Ukrainian as "суднобудівельний завод" (sudnobudivelnyi zavod) or "суднобудівний завод" (sudnobudivnyi zavod). So, if I were to give my best guess, it would for Ukrainian "Sudnobudivelnyi zavod "Zaliv". HTH, --Irpen 00:28, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
