American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift has released seven studio albums, five extended plays (EP), two live albums, one compilation album, 55 singles (including four as a featured artist), 21 promotional singles, and 44 music videos. With estimated sales of over 50 million albums and 150 million singles worldwide, Swift is one of the best-selling music artists.[1] In the US, Swift is the third best-selling digital singles artist with 121 million certified units,[2] is the first artist to have four albums sell over one million copies within the first week on the Billboard 200,[3] and has sold 37.3 million albums.[4] Her UK album and single sales stand at 3.34 million and 17 million, respectively.[5]

Swift's career began with a record deal with Big Machine Records in 2005 and the release of her eponymous debut album the following year. The album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s decade in the US, where it peaked at number five.[6] Its third single, "Our Song", made Swift the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the US Country Songs chart.[7] Swift's second studio album, Fearless (2008), topped the charts in the US, Canada, and New Zealand. It was the best-selling album of 2009 in the US,[8] and 13 of its songs reached the top 40 of the US Billboard Hot 100, breaking the record for the most top 40 entries from a single album.[9] Its singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me" reached the top ten of various national charts. The album was certified Diamond by the RIAA in 2018.

Swift obtained her first number-one single in Canada with "Today Was a Fairytale" from the Valentine's Day soundtrack (2010).[10] Her third studio album, Speak Now (2010), peaked at number one in the US, Australia, Canada, and New Zealand. The album spawned two US top-ten singles, "Mine" and "Back to December".[11] Swift's fourth studio album, Red (2012), was her first number-one album in the UK,[12] and spawned the international top-ten singles "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "I Knew You Were Trouble"; the former was her first number-one single in the US.[13] Her fifth studio album, 1989 (2014), was the best-selling album of 2014 in the US,[14] and spawned three US number-one singles—"Shake It Off", "Blank Space", and "Bad Blood".[11] Swift became the first female artist in history to have both a single and album certified Diamond by the RIAA when “Shake It Off” was certified Diamond in March 2020.

A track Swift recorded with Zayn for the Fifty Shade Darker soundtrack, titled "I Don't Wanna Live Forever", reached the top five of various national charts. Swift's sixth studio album, Reputation (2017), was her fourth album to debut at number one in the US with first-week sales of over one million copies, following Speak Now, Red, and 1989,[3] and the highest-selling album of 2017 in the US.[15] It spawned the international top-ten singles "Look What You Made Me Do" and "...Ready for It?"; the former was Swift's first number-one single in the UK.[16] Swift ended her contract with Big Machine in 2018, when she signed a multi-album deal with Universal Music Group, which promotes her releases under Republic Records imprint.[17] Her seventh studio album, Lover (2019), spawned three singles: "Me!", "You Need to Calm Down", and the title track, all of which reached the top ten in the US[11] as well as Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand.
