Éder Monteiro Fernandes

[edit]

2x expanded and sourced (BLP) by Royroydeb (talk). Self-nominated at 09:20, 17 February 2016 (UTC).

  • Article was expanded from 252 chars on February 5, 2016 to 1,624 chars at nomination time making it eligible as 5x-expanded over 1,500 chars. Ref #1 says he was born on September 29 not on September 21 as stated in the artcile and by ref #3. Ref #2 and ref #4 say he entered Portugese club in 2010, the artcile states 2009. Ref #4 says he made 79 appearances at Vasco da Gama while the statistics section and infobox give 28 caps for that club. Ref #5 and ref #7 are dead-end links. There is no mention about fourth foreigner and Malky Thomson in the ref #8. Statistics table is incomplete and not sourced. The senior career section of the infobox cannot be checked. Earwig's Copyvio Detector finds no issues of copyvio. Article is neutral. Hook length is within limit and its fact is cited. QPQ was done. Article needs to be edited for above issues before it can be promoted. CeeGee 10:42, 12 March 2016 (UTC)
  • This nomination is in danger of failing, due to the lack of response of the author. Royroydeb, please make this show some progress in the upcoming 48 hours or this nomination will be marked for closure. —♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 15:37, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
  • It's premature, after five days, to talk about a lack of response. Seven days should be the absolute minimum. It appears that Royroydeb has made only a single edit since the review, so a bit more time here before the hammer comes down is in order. BlueMoonset (talk) 20:09, 17 March 2016 (UTC)

CeeGee * Soccerway is a more reliable source that why I have now sourced the birthdate in infobox

  • The 2010 conflict is solved
  • The ref8 (goal) gives those information.
  • Vasco da Gama stats are sourced from Foradejogo. We only input the league stats in infobox. The ref might also include league cups, continental etc.
  • The stats table is left blank if stats is not available.
  • I dont know what is dead end link.

  • Thanks for your attention. The birthdate is referenced in the infobox, however, the source giving Saptember 21 you prefer is not cited in the lede. I didn't mention Soccerway explicitly. What meant was the link to ref #5, which resulted in a message "404 Not Found" when ticked. With dead-end link, I meant WP:LR. While ref #5 is corrected already, the ref #7 is still a such one. I apolagize for my mistake with the comment regarding ref #8. Statistics section lacks a reference, which is required for DYK eligibility. The article is not ready to be approved. • The ref #1 is WP:LR. I see that I am unable to make myself understandable. We need another reviewer here. CeeGee 10:26, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
  • My concerns are with the hook facts. I have run a Google translate on the source which is used to verify the hook and it doesn't appear to mention Romairo as a World Cup winner. Did Google translate do a bad job here? Also, the only mention of him being Brazilian is in the lead (and perhaps the infobox as his birthplace is listed as Sao Paulo), but there are no inline cites to accompany this (I accidentally stumbled upon this fact on Soccerway BTW, so just needs an inline cite). • Virtual-Brazil.com seems to be a self-published source with no obvious reason why it should be treated as a reliable source. Surely there are better sources on the Brazilian World Cup squad of 1994? FIFA for example... Jolly Ω Janner 08:56, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
I have replaced. RRD13 দেবজ্যোতি (talk) 08:44, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
CeeGee, I'm on the verge of accepting this nomination, but thought I'd confirm what your objections were. It looks like there's been some back and forth and the last comment was regarding reference number one suffering link rot. Is that all that was holding this back and if so, is it now okay? It seems to work for me. Jolly Ω Janner 08:53, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Jolly Janner, thank you very much indeed for asking my comment. I can really not understand why a WP:LR may be allowed in a DYK-nom. Sorry, I'm not convinced. I would change my mind if there is a strict rule for this as DYK regulation. Besides, there exists such a link for the dead-link in question. CeeGee 11:52, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Which URL are you referring to? None of URLs in the references are giving me problems. Jolly Ω Janner 11:55, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Ref #1 from Soccerway gives "404 Not Found" when I tick on. CeeGee 14:29, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
  • CeeGee, I can access the Soccerway ref when I click on it, so it would appear to be a localized problem for you. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:22, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Accepted. But, it's weird to me how this happens. OK, no problem for me anymore. CeeGee 17:27, 23 March 2016 (UTC)
  • Hooks are now verified inline by reliable sources. Rest of review by CeeGee. CeeGee, maybe you are being geoblocked (or some geographicaly error in their system). When I [soccerway.com/players/eder-monteiro-fernandes/162990/ remove] the int prefix, it redirects me to the Canadian domain ca.soccerway.com so maybe this link will work for you?
