Corps of Royal Artillery Drivers
- ... that the Corps of Royal Artillery Drivers existed only between 1793 and 1822? "established in 1793" (National Army Museum)"disbandment in 1822" (page 1825)
- ALT1:... that the Corps of Royal Artillery Drivers was reduced from 7,300 men to 1,300 after the Napoleonic Wars? "in 1814, it would appear there were 88 Driver officers and 7,352 drivers" (page 175) was 1336 men in 1816 (page 1038-1039)

DKY Check green, new, long enough, very well cited. Note GR fix to ALT1. Maury Markowitz (talk) 16:23, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- However, both hooks seem a little... boring? How about:
- ALT2:... that the Corps of Royal Artillery Drivers was created in 1793 to replace civilian contractors, who sometimes abandoned their artillery in battle?
- Hi Maury Markowitz, thanks for the review. I like your proposed hook, for some reason I was struggling with this one. We'll need someone to approve ALT2 - Dumelow (talk) 16:28, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- ALT2 looks good to go. --Z 18:47, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
