Costard (apple)

  • ... that costermongers are named after the costard apple which they sold? "what did the costermonger sell? The answer is apples - the Costard apple" from: Amateur Gardening. 1967. p. 28.

General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
QPQ: Done.
Overall: New article to mainspace. Source supports the hook. Checked for copyvio, no issues. QPQ completed. I did not expect to find a hook and an article about a variety of apple so interesting! (I prefer the first hook to the ALT but either looks fine.) BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 15:51, 30 March 2020 (UTC)
