- Working on improving the article. In the meantime, here is ALT1: ... that in the 1920s, Fernando Ortiz believed in a "scientific crusade against crime in Cuba"? --Rosiestep (talk) 03:12, 17 June 2013 (UTC)

- Obviously it's better than it was, but I'm still not totally comfortable with this. For example, there are few if any statistics; in particular, I would like to see comparative statistics with other South and North American countries. The organization is still a bit of a mess - if you haven't done so already, I would suggest taking a look at some of the more mature "Crime in country" articles, like for example Crime in the United States or Crime in Canada. - Since the nom, the article has been expanded by 3 other editors (Dr. Blofeld, Nvvchar, and me). I've done a bit of c/e just now. Unfortunately, we won't get crime statistics in Cuba if the ref for the lede sentence is to be considered reliable. I'm offering ALT2: ... that prostitution is not a crime in Cuba? --Rosiestep (talk) 19:06, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
- Article needs full review post expansion; issues with ALT2 have been addressed by eliminating the problematic photo. BlueMoonset (talk) 17:41, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
