En Canot, Im Boot (Metzinger)
[edit]... that Jean Metzinger's painting En Canot (black and white photo pictured) was listed in the Nazi's Degenerate Art exhibit catalog with the notation "Even this was once taken seriously and bought for good money!"?
- Reviewed: Not required (not a self-nom), but I sorta reviewed Atlanta Braves
- Comment: The image is public domain in the US, which I think is sufficient for DYK.

- Hook is a bit on the long side - should be under 200 characters. Nikkimaria (talk) 18:59, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
- DYKcheck reports the original as 201. ALT1 is 196.

- Question/Comment (not a review) but I noticed that a lot of the details in the Description section are unreferenced, including two complete paragraphs. I know that DYK rule D2 makes an exception for plot summaries to not be fully referenced but does that exception extend to descriptions of works of art? AgneCheese/Wine 02:48, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks for pointing that out. After I relayed this to the author, Coldcreation very quickly took care of it. MANdARAX • XAЯAbИAM 08:44, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
- Okay, with a further tweak to the hook, this should be good to go. Nikkimaria (talk) 02:28, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
