Eveline Crone
[edit]- ... that the research of 2017 Spinoza Prize winner Eveline Crone (pictured) has led The Netherlands to extend its juvenile detention age limit from 18 to 23? Source: " In The Netherlands, her work has led to policy changes: a modification of the Youth Detention Act extended the age limits for juvenile prisons from 18 to 23." (source)

- Since this appears to be the first DYK nomination by Originalmess, no QPQ is needed. New enough, long enough, and well sourced, with an interesting and appropriately sourced hook of appropriate length. (The hook source is in the article only and is not the one linked in the nomination statement, and is written in Dutch, but these are not problems.) Subject is clearly notable (e.g. double pass of WP:PROF#C3). Earwig found no copied nor closely paraphrased text beyond titles of publications and institutions, where copying is unavoidable, and one properly marked direct quote. The picture was not linked properly in the DYK nomination but is available at File:Eveline Crone Marc de Haan 2012.jpg and (if chosen to be used) has the proper OTRS permissions. Good to go. —David Eppstein (talk) 00:03, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
- That's what I thought the QPQ qualifications meant but wasn't sure, so that's a relief! Thank you for the prompt review. She's fascinating and accomplished, and I hope other people will learn about her work. originalmesshow u doin that busta rhyme? 02:47, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for the reorganization! I've sourced the information. Cheers, originalmesshow u doin that busta rhyme? 20:42, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Originalmess: thank you for taking care of that. Before I tick this again, it seems to me that many refs are just repeating information from her bio. We could keep sources that are award pages, but those that look like speakers bureau pages should be deleted. Yoninah (talk) 22:31, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Yoninah: Hi I finally got around to streamlining the citations! I also replaced the award page sources with just links to her CV, which (although it's a primary source) gives more information on what she's actually uses the prize money for. If anything else looks off I'd be happy to fix it! originalmesshow u doin that busta rhyme? 23:27, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
