Detailed article on excellent sources. The cited hook seems longish, - can we simply say (in the hook, not the article) something like this (provided that the cute detail goes to the article)?
ALT1: ... that in 1982 financier and philanthropist Finn M. W. Caspersen drove in period costume the new and the former New Jersey Governor to an inauguration party in a four-horse carriage? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:36, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Thanks @Gerda Arendt:, I agree with the text as proposed for ALT1. ALT1 is more direct and less cumbersome as a hook. I removed the "(pictured)" parenthetical, since Wereith says we can't use Caspersen's photo (since removed) on the main page.--ColonelHenry (talk) 15:29, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Will you take the "costume" detail to the article? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:45, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
  • How is this:
ALT2: ... that in 1982 financier and philanthropist Finn M. W. Caspersen drove the new and the former New Jersey Governor to an inauguration party in period costume in a four-horse carriage? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:47, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
  • Either ALT1 or ALT2 is fine. I don't see much of a shade of difference between the two...which ever you prefer.--ColonelHenry (talk) 17:13, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
Offline sources accepted AGF, - the prep builder can pick or tweak, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:19, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
