Sev Statik, Altered State (Stu Dent album), Speak Life

[edit]

Created by 3family6 (talk) and The Cross Bearer (talk). Nominated by 3family6 (talk) at 15:31, 29 February 2016 (UTC).

  • New enough, long enough, well written and well cited, hook (as found in Speak Life) checks out. QPQ done, no copyvios were found in the images, and neither was there close paraphrasing. Good to go! —♦♦ AMBER(ЯʘCK) 20:25, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
  • The Daily Gazette (unable to link to it) says "...one of those 13 being Statik’s first solo album “Speak Life.”". I would ordinarily just change the hook by adding "solo" to clarify this, but I'm not sure if "debut album" has some definition that I'm not aware of. Would appreciate it if the nominator could clarify this or alter the hook accordingly. This also ties into the hook overall, which seems to contradict itself. Thanks. Speak Life is his debut as Sev Statik. The previous album, Altered State, was released under the name Stu Dent. However, the name Stu Dent and its associated categories redirect to the Sev Statik article, since that's the more common name. Speak Life is considered the debut by this source, as well as being considered that in an interview with Sev Statik. In a different interview, Sev Statik commented on how it is slightly confusing as to which stage name is the main one. I guess I could rework the hook to the following:

ALT 1: ... that Speak Life is considered the debut album of Sev Statik, even though he'd previously released another studio album?

That hook would clarify that Speak Life is considered the debut, even though he released an album previously. The seeming contradiction is intended in the hook, as I felt this would be puzzling to the reader and they would read the articles to find out.--3family6 (Talk to me | See what I have done) 14:14, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
I prefer ALT1. I guess puzzling the reader isn't so bad since the articles explain this "puzzle" pretty well. Jolly Ω Janner 05:32, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
