  • The article was created last week, placed in the correct section. No issue with readability or validity of hook (supported by citation); cited appropriately. Length is fine, image is in the article and holds appropriate licence. Minor quibbles: you need to create talkpage, the PDF 'Linhão de tucuruí' ideally should have the 'language=Portuguese' parameter added to the template, New Scientist is not a 'publisher', instead a 'magazine', Ref 4 should be pp., not p. Lemonade51 (talk) 09:43, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
  • I have addressed those points - I would never have spotted them, but agree with them all. Thanks, Aymatth2 (talk) 10:38, 5 August 2016 (UTC)

It has been pointed out that the picture is of a large pylon on the line, but not necessarily the huge pylon for the Amazon crossing. I suggest ALT1 below. Aymatth2 (talk) 18:49, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

ALT1 ... that the Tucuruí transmission line (pylon pictured) carries power for 1,800 kilometres (1,100 mi) through the Amazon region?
  • ALT1 seems a satisfactory hook. Otherwise, as per Lemonade51. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 05:12, 16 August 2016 (UTC)
