- ... that scientists discovered the first ever biological screw joint (pictured) in the Papuan weevil Trigonopterus oblongus?
- Reviewed: The article that the nominator has reviewed - yet to be completed
- Comment: User:Alex2guess is Alexander Riedel, the discoverer in this DYK who made the "free" image (pictured) of the mechanism on request.

- ALT1 : ... that weevils have been using nuts and screws (pictured) for over a 100 million years?
- I shall be completing my QPQ review in the next 24 hours. AshLin (talk) 20:41, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- Length, and references check out! Very cool news btw! --Kevmin § 23:58, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- Shouldn't this be at Biological screw joint? The article isn't really about the poor weevil which only gets a one line mention independent of its joint. Nothing about its life, loves, hopes... (also, I've possibly corrected the link to Papua here and in the article - check it is to the right place) Yomanganitalk 00:49, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
- Okay, discussed with others, it seems like a good idea. Please consider this nomination as cancelled. This article will be redirected to the genus Trigonopterus and a fresh DYK registered for Biological screw joint after the move.
- You should move the current article, & then redirect the old title. I would have defended the previous title myself, with redirects in place, but am fine with it either way. Johnbod (talk) 15:06, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
- Done. This is a obsolete nomination which may be removed once the DYK for Biological screw joint is displayed. AshLin (talk) 04:28, 30 July 2011 (UTC)
