Tex Atomic's Big Bot Battles is a third person shooter for the PC developed by Monolith Productions and published by RealNetworks. The game was a launch title for the fledgling RealArcade service, an early online only game distribution model. The game went live on May 31, 2001. Original Monolith founders Brian Goble (and designer of Bot Battles), Garrett Price and Bryan Bouwman took this experience as the basis for their casual games company HipSoft, in publishing Build-a-lot and other titles through RealArcade, having left Monolith in 2002.
