Station building

Tobata Station (戸畑駅, Tobata-eki) is a railway station on the Kagoshima Main Line operated by Kyushu Railway Company in Tobata-ku, Kitakyūshū, Japan. The station opened on December 27, 1902.

In 2000 the station was shifted about 200 metres westwards and rebuilt. It is an elevated station with two platforms. Some expresses (tokkyu) stop here.
