Tyrone is an unincorporated community in Texas County, Missouri, in the United States.

The community consists of several houses. A large group of residents are members of the Aldridge family.[1]

History

Tyrone was founded in 1892.[2][3] It was named for County Tyrone, in Northern Ireland.[4]

On February 27, 2015, Tyrone was the scene of a mass murder, carried out by Joseph Jesse Aldridge. He killed seven people and wounded another person before taking his own life.[5]
