December 2021[edit]

  1. Incorrect mask usage: nominated at AfD; notified PatriceMO1 (talk · contribs) 00:23, 23 December 2021 (UTC)

January 2022[edit]

  1. Ben Salifu: nominated at AfD; notified Yussif Abdul Rahaman Gua (talk · contribs) 00:32, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Was draftified, but it is unclear whether or not a regional minister of Ghana (seems to be the equivalent of a governor) meets WP:NPOL. Courtesy ping Onel5969.
  2. Bipindada Shankarrao Kolhe: nominated at AfD; notified Shookitb (talk · contribs) 16:56, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NPOL as a non-winning candidate and seems to thoroughly fail WP:GNG.

February 2022[edit]

  1. Peppy Martin: nominated at AfD; notified 4.224.114.70 (talk · contribs) 04:29, 1 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsuccessful candidate for political office. Thoroughly fails WP:NPOL and WP:GNG.
  2. Rudolf Hellmann: nominated at AfD; notified EriFr (talk · contribs) 01:24, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This article was draftified; it seems marginal enough that I figured it was better to send it here. A search shows very few sources related to the subject himself, and nothing that seems to give WP:SIGCOV other a general biographical entry. Corresponding article in German doesn't have much more meat [1]. However, I'm unsure if I'm missing any German-language sources or the like.
  3. Category:Firearms stubs: nominated at CfDS (C2C); New name: Category:Firearm stubs 09:30, 23 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Stub categories should be in singular.
  4. Battle of Kyiv (2022): nominated at AfD; notified Mhawk10 (talk · contribs) 03:27, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: There has not yet been a "Battle of Kiev". This is extremely hasty, we are not a crystal ball that predicts which battles may happen.

March 2022[edit]

  1. Kruty skirmishes: nominated at AfD; notified Максим Огородник (talk · contribs) 09:05, 7 March 2022 (UTC)
  2. List of Russian generals killed during the 2022 invasion of Ukraine: nominated at AfD; notified AugusteBlanqui (talk · contribs) 08:02, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: What garbage. It's a list of 3 people, 3 people whom are already mentioned elsewhere (Casualties of the Russo-Ukrainian War, Category:Military personnel killed in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine). If this were transformed into a category, it wouldn't even meet WP:SMALLCAT. To assume that enough Russian generals will eventually die in order to make this an actual list is pure WP:CRYSTAL (which the creator unintentionally gets at when they wrote "The best way to contribute is if people continue to add names to the list" on the talk page.
I know this was created in good-faith by a productive editor, but jesus there have been so many shitty articles created about this war, and this is one of them.
  3. Yevhen Malyshev: nominated at AfD; notified Gildir (talk · contribs) 09:20, 14 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable soldier/athlete only notable for his death (WP:BIO1E). Doesn't pass WP:NSPORT either.
  4. Radhikapur Express: nominated at AfD; notified Prahallad singh (talk · contribs) 09:13, 22 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Initially draftified by Jimfbleak; I contested the draftification due to the age of the article.
That said, I don't think this is particularly notable. I've tried to search for sources, but none that focus on this particular train seem to exist.
  5. Battle of Starobilsk: nominated at AfD; notified Elijahandskip (talk · contribs) 20:39, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Well here we are. This is obviously not a notable battle (Ukraine war cruft). The battle did happen, but the sources available do not show that this is either a significant or notable engagement. This was originally merged into Eastern Ukraine offensive with the blessing of the creator, but one editor (courtesy ping Panam2014) began inexplicably dragging their feet based on a misinterpretation of redirect/merge policy [4].

April 2022[edit]

  1. Ken McClure (Politician): nominated at AfD; notified 65TVk (talk · contribs) 00:32, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:NPOL on merit, and fails WP:GNG as well, as no non-local sources that provide WP:SIGCOV seem to exist.
  2. Technofarm International: nominated at AfD; notified Sir192 (talk · contribs) 09:06, 13 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Has been completely unsourced for over a decade. A WP:BEFORE search does not return any sources.
  3. David Griffiths (rugby league): nominated at AfD; notified BigMountains (talk · contribs) 04:03, 14 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not notable. A WP:BEFORE search returns no sources, and he doesn't meet the amended WP:RLN.
  4. Sexual violence in the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine: nominated at AfD; notified Boud (talk · contribs) 07:28, 19 April 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: At this point, this is a mix of WP:NOTNEWS and WP:TOOSOON. Most of the article consists of relaying news reports of sexual crimes, very loosely tied together with limited statements by a couple of Ukrainian officials. While I would not be surprised if this did eventually become separately notable, it is just not there yet as this moment; it is far too soon.
This article just doesn't necessarily have the board macro-scale needed to cross the threshold of WP:NOTNEWS yet.
  5. Commonwealth Democratic Party: nominated at AfD; notified Number 57 (talk · contribs) 03:32, 26 April 2022 (UTC)

May 2022[edit]

  1. James R. Kern III: nominated at AfD; notified J.bradington (talk · contribs) 04:34, 2 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable local politician who fails WP:GNG. Any mentions of him are simply passing or are hyper-local in scope.
  2. Harmony Party UK: nominated at AfD; notified Judeobasquelanguage (talk · contribs) 05:22, 2 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't seem like a notable political party. The only coverage I was able to find is from a less-than-reliable source [5]. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NORG.
  3. Battle of Kruty (2022): nominated at AfD; notified Niki 24 (talk · contribs) 19:06, 4 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Previous AfD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kruty skirmishes
CSD was respectfully declined as this war has been a fast-moving event. However, nothing seems to have changed with this particular article from the last AfD. Sources 2, 3, 4, and 5 are completely irrelevant to this particular claimed battle, and sources 1 and 6 rely on the same completely unverifiable Facebook post. It's questionable if any action even happened at all here, and if it did, it certainly fails WP:GNG.
  4. Karl Emmermann: nominated at AfD; notified WellsSouth (talk · contribs) 22:28, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't seem like a notable person. Thoroughly fails WP:GNG. As far as I can tell, this person is only originally mentioned very passingly in a work by Marx and Engels, and subsequent sources based on that are similarly passing (like just dropping his name and that's it). There is no corresponding article in any other language Wikipedia.
n.b. There is a later U-boat captain with the same name, so don't let that confuse you in search.
  5. Cabinet of brunei: nominated at RfD; Target: Council of Cabinet Ministers (notified); notified BOTijo (talk · contribs) 20:45, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
  6. Sajjad Rahbar: nominated at AfD; notified Samak (talk · contribs) 01:35, 17 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Procedural nomination stemming from an inappropriate draftification (article is far to old to have been draftified). However, the draftifier appears to have had a point. This does not appear to be a notable footballer. A search in Farsi revealed no WP:SIGCOV of the player himself; fails [{WP:GNG]].
  7. William J. Meade: nominated at AfD 17:40, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Contested PROD. Appellate judges are not inherently notable, per WP:USCJN. Otherwise fails WP:GNG as literally no sources that confer WP:SIGCOV exist (I would know, since I originally created this article).

June 2022[edit]

  1. Timothy Hale-Cusanelli: nominated at AfD; notified TJMSmith (talk · contribs) 12:47, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Raised from a thread at WP:BLPN. I don't think this article really gets to the standard set by WP:BLP1E. Though he got a brief flash of coverage after the attack, I don't think it really amounts to independent notability; there is no WP:SIGCOV from before Jan 6, either. The subject played a minor role during Jan 6, and otherwise doesn't meet either WP:CRIMINAL or WP:GNG.
  2. Senegalese people in Norway: nominated at AfD; notified AmericanEditor350 (talk · contribs) 15:42, 29 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: No evidence that this is a notable group.
  3. Cameroonians in Norway: nominated at AfD; notified AmericanEditor350 (talk · contribs) 12:52, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
  4. Keystone Party of Manitoba: nominated at AfD; notified CFijWPG (talk · contribs) 13:02, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Contested PROD. Non-notable political party, fails WP:NORG and WP:GNG.

July 2022[edit]

  1. Beninese people in Italy: nominated at AfD 14:03, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
  2. Kenyans in Italy: nominated at AfD 14:04, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
  3. Sierra Leoneans in Italy: nominated at AfD; notified AmericanEditor350 (talk · contribs) 14:05, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
  4. James McLynas: nominated at AfD; notified BizarreLoveTriangle (talk · contribs) 14:27, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable political candidate who unsuccessfully ran for local office. WP:GNG appears to be failed, as the sources currently cited are either not reliable, or provide little to no WP:SIGCOV; a WP:BEFORE search did not reveal anything different.
  5. Spencer Zimmerman: nominated at AfD; notified KoolKidMitch (talk · contribs) 14:46, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Failed candidate for political office. Completely fails WP:GNG, as a WP:BEFORE search revealed no sources beyond passing mentions.
  6. Adrienne Wojciechowski: nominated at AfD; notified Losipov (talk · contribs) 21:50, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable government official. Completely fails WP:GNG, with no WP:SIGCOV extant. While WP:POLOUTCOMES does state that assistant secretaries are usually notable, I think the complete lack of coverage places this particular article on the other end of that usually.
  7. Lance Christensen: nominated at AfD; notified StarSweeper (talk · contribs) 18:18, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Contested PROD; non-notable political candidate. While he would be notable if he wins, he currently fails WP:NPOL and WP:GNG.
  8. Arfanul Haque Rifat: nominated at AfD; notified Hrksmp (talk · contribs) 21:47, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Contested PROD; Non-notable local politician. Fails WP:NPOL and WP:GNG.
  9. Shane Hazel: nominated at AfD; notified Mapthinker31 (talk · contribs) 06:06, 17 July 2022 (UTC)
  10. Ryszard Frąckiewicz: nominated at AfD; notified Jmanlucas (talk · contribs) 14:12, 28 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Contested PROD; appears to be a non-notable diplomat. A WP:BEFORE search provided little, and while there are a lot of references in the Polish Wikipedia article, these are primarily just list of who was an ambassador to what, with nothing seeming to provide WP:SIGCOV.

August 2022[edit]

  1. Fourth Taiwan Strait Crisis: nominated at AfD; notified Jsnider3 (talk · contribs) 15:27, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: A non-notable non-event. Entirely WP:SYNTH/WP:OR; the article takes from multiple sources to reach a conclusion that none of the sources say. No sources specifically describing this hypothetical exist.
  2. Martha Bueno: nominated at AfD; notified AlexandreAssatiani (talk · contribs) 02:42, 12 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable minor political candidate. Only held hyper-local office, and coverage is minor and generally routine. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NPOL.
  3. Category:Alumni of the University of Malta: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:University of Malta alumni; notified Saga City (talk · contribs) 02:48, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Mistitled. The longstanding format for cats in this tree is {University of Such-and-such alumni/faculty}. In fact, even Category:University of Malta faculty is formatted this way.

September 2022[edit]

  1. The Hillpost: nominated at AfD; notified Locke&Hobbes (talk · contribs) 02:37, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be a non-notable collegiate newspaper. No WP:SIGCOV outside of an article in a hyper-local newspaper ([6]) seems to exist. Likely created as a vanity page judging by the LinkedIn link as well, but that is beyond the point. Fails WP:GNG and WP:NNEWSPAPER.
  2. Nagesh Koirala: nominated at AfD; notified Rajbansi Anup (talk · contribs) 18:00, 8 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Previously deleted via PROD; non-notable local politician, fails WP:GNG and WP:NPOL.
  3. Harjit Kaur Talwandi: nominated at AfD; notified LudhianaUser (talk · contribs) 16:23, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Prior AfD was closed NC with NPASR. Fails WP:GNG, as though many sources that mention her appear to exist, they are only the briefest of passing mentions. Also fails WP:NPOL.

October 2022[edit]

  1. 2024 United States Senate election in Florida: nominated at AfD; notified LD1998 (talk · contribs) 18:01, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Far WP:TOOSOON. There is only 1 candidate thus far, the incumbent, and almost no coverage of this election yet.

November 2022[edit]

  1. A Connecticut Party (2021): nominated at AfD; notified Scu ba (talk · contribs) 01:46, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Hyper-local minor party which failed to win any seats in its election. Some minor buzz in local media due to its name, but this party is just not notable. Thoroughly fails WP:GNG, and is just a local oddity due to it hijacking the name of a long-dead party.
A side note, there has been a concerted effort to hijack the original and notable A Connecticut Party article to soapbox for this party (not by Scu ba, who has been a genuine good-faith editor here, but by others, including some affiliated with the party). At best, this should be a minor one-sentence mention on the actual party's article.
  2. Alois Anderlé: nominated at AfD; notified Lugnuts (talk · contribs) 17:14, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be a non-notable athlete. Fails WP:NOLY, and a WP:BEFORE search did not appear to show anything beyond statistics that covers him, failing WP:GNG.
  3. Md. Mahbubur Rashid: nominated at AfD; notified Hrksmp (talk · contribs) 17:31, 4 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be a non-notable military general. A search in English returned nothing except a couple passing mentions. I tried my best to search in Bangla, but was similarly unable to find anything providing WP:SIGCOV.
  4. Dmitriy Petrukhin: nominated at AfD; notified Rakhat.kakenov (talk · contribs) 08:07, 11 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This article is so beyond repair that I don't even know where to possibly begin. He might squeak through GNG, possibly WP:POLOUTCOMES as a member of the mäslihat of Almaty, but the condition of this article is so beyond salvageable that it is probably better to blow up and start again.
  5. Arnold Laperi: nominated at AfD; notified SleepyRay89 (talk · contribs) 22:29, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be a non-notable basketballer. Was a member of the championship team of the Albanian 2nd tier league, but this does not confer notability itself. A WP:BEFORE search, including a search on newspapers.com, revealed literally nothing except some stats, so he appears to fail WP:GNG.
  6. Maxime Bertrand: nominated at AfD; notified Lugnuts (talk · contribs) 14:05, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable cyclist. A WP:BEFORE search revealed nothing on the subject besides a couple of typical stats pages.
  7. J. Max Davis: nominated at AfD; notified Glacier2009 (talk · contribs) 14:14, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be a non-notable politician. A WP:BEFORE search, including a look through newspapers.com, revealed no sources that provided significant coverage (even amongst local sources, coverage is minimal and hardly significant). Proposing deletion and re-creation for his WP:NPOL-passing father who shares the same name.
  8. Marcel Dohis: nominated at AfD; notified Lugnuts (talk · contribs) 14:19, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be a non-notable cyclist. A WP:BEFORE seach only returned some stats and this image.
  9. José L. Domingo: nominated at AfD; notified IntoThinAir (talk · contribs) 17:22, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Another WP:BLPREQUESTDELETE, but unlike WP:Articles for deletion/Mei-Ching Fok, an account bearing the name of the subject is the one who requested deletion [7] [8], stating "José Luis Domingo wants this unauthorised article about him to be deleted". This subject easily passes WP:NPROF on multiple accounts: chief editor of multiple journals, distinguished prof, 38k cites w/ h-index of 97; I figured it better to get community input since he above and beyond passes our criteria.

December 2022[edit]

  1. Bageshwori Dutt Chataut: nominated at AfD; notified Soman (talk · contribs) 08:37, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be a non-notable losing political candidates, failing WP:NPOL. Additionally, a WP:BEFORE search in both English and Nepali returned only a couple of sources that mention his name without WP:SIGCOV (such as [9]). De-PRODed last year with a couple of sources added (AGF as they are offline), but they also seem to be relatively passing mentions.
  2. Leba Chand Tudu: nominated at AfD; notified Sudip Karmakar23 (talk · contribs) 09:35, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Another article created by the same sock chain on non-notable CPI(ML)L party functionaries. Fails WP:NPOL as a non-winning politician, and a search did not return WP:SIGCOV (though the article lists quite a few sources, these are mainly just election results).
  3. Sebihan Mehmed: nominated at AfD; notified Kirov Airship (talk · contribs) 22:12, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Seems to be a non-notable mayor. There is some coverage in Bulgarian, but this coverage does not appear to be significant. Subject fails WP:GNG and WP:NPOL.
  4. Azat Köşekov: nominated at AfD; notified ShadZ01 (talk · contribs) 22:21, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Seems to be a non-notable party functionary. A WP:BEFORE search in both English and Kazakh returned almost nothing. Fails WP:NPOL and WP:GNG.

January 2023[edit]

  1. Board of Selectmen of Somerville, Massachusetts: nominated at AfD; notified Wmcewenjr (talk · contribs) 07:01, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be a non-notable town council; a WP:BEFORE search ("Board of Selectmen" "Somerville" "Massachusetts" -wikipedia.org) did not return anything focusing on the board of selectmen itself, while a search on newspapers.com similarly returned just standard proceedings. This board thus fails WP:GNG through a lack of significant coverge. While some of the people on the list may meet WP:NPOL through service in the legislature, the vast majority likely do not, so it fails WP:NLIST as well.
  2. Dave Hughes (politician): nominated at AfD; notified Eternal Shadow (talk · contribs) 07:35, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
  3. Melvin Smith (politician): nominated at AfD; notified Acsenray (talk · contribs) 14:30, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: A non-winning candidate for state representative. Does not meet WP:NPOL, and does not appear to pass WP:GNG. A WP:BEFORE search returned very few mentions, almost all WP:PASSING; the only non-passing mention is this entirely WP:ROUTINE election coverage, which is not sufficient to demonstrate a GNG pass.
  4. Javier Mazariegos: nominated at AfD; notified Cantabria (talk · contribs) 17:26, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be a non-notable small town mayor. While there is a little coverage, it is very local and superficial, and does not provide significant coverage.
  5. Gawdat al-Malt: nominated at AfD; notified Bender235 (talk · contribs) 17:51, 23 January 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable auditor. Only "claim to fame" was being mistakenly named in a Reuters story, which was quickly corrected. Never held an WP:NPOL-conferring office, and a WP:BEFORE search did not return any WP:SIGCOV.

February 2023[edit]

  1. Diane Yatauro: nominated at AfD; notified Vitadellocalcio (talk · contribs) 01:28, 4 February 2023 (UTC)
  2. Al Weed: nominated at AfD; notified Large23220 (talk · contribs) 04:38, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable losing political candidate. A WP:BEFORE search on newspapers.com only revealed typical run-of-the-mill local election coverage (such as [10]), which is not sufficient; thus, with no WP:SIGCOV, the subject fails WP:GNG.
  3. Adam Aptowitzer: nominated at AfD; notified David Cohen (talk · contribs) 07:25, 13 February 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Appears to be a non-notable lawyer. A WP:BEFORE search only returned a few press releases or quotes in news articles, with nothing that appears to be WP:SIGCOV, thus WP:GNG does not appear to be met.

April 2023[edit]

  1. State of Darsah: nominated at AfD; notified NEEYMAR (talk · contribs) 00:17, 26 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Contested PROD, pinging contester User:Kvng. Completely non-notable micronation, not a single source on this exists.
  2. Aycha Sawa: nominated at AfD; notified Fang Aili (talk · contribs) 02:19, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Subject appear to be a non-notable municipal level official. Does not pass WP:NPOL, and a WP:BEFORE search only returned routine coverage from local news.
  3. James Thomas (Swansea): nominated at AfD; notified Vasquez109 (talk · contribs) 17:49, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
    • Reason: Plainly non-notable municipal level politician. A WP:BEFORE search did not return any sources, let alone a source providing WP:SIGCOV. PROD was contested by an IP on the bogus rationale won his election 5 times, as if that means anything.

May 2023[edit]

  1. Mylyn Kuve: nominated at AfD; notified MurielMary (talk · contribs) 05:48, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
