Computer Animation==

Computer animation, is a subfield within computer graphics which is created by using 3D computer graphics, 2D graphics can still be used as they have faster real-time rendering needs. [1] it is a successor to the use of stop motion by suing 3D models and frame by frame animation of 2D illustrations.

3D Animation differs from 2D Animation as 2D Animation uses foreshortening and perspective to create space and depth and it can only be measured in height and width as it exists on a 2D Space while 3D animation is different as it can only be made with the use of a Computer , it can do the impossible in 2D Animation such as having rotating 360 degrees, volume and more. [2]

John Whitney was included as one of the first people to have experimented with computer graphic animation which occurred in 1940's and 50's, he is also known as the father of computer animation. His early films were impressive as they were made on a rig with an anti-aircraft analog computer and is known to be impressive as programmable digital computers did not come about until 1957. [3]

History of 3D Animation

3D animation made it's first appearance in 1972 by Ed Catmull who was the founder of the largest 3D animation studios of all time, 'Animation' as the word is translated from the French as it means 'soul', this is the reason as to why animation production is also known as the ensoulment of characters. [4]

Before computers, the early animators would use Clay and of the sort to form shapes, and they would move that clay to form every little bit of shot, which would then get shot together after it has been pieced for it to have been created as an animation. This is called stop motion or claymation, Stop motion is very time consuming and it has been used in shows when it was first aired in 1956 on Gumby , [Wallace and Gromit]] and also Robot chicken. [5]

By 1980's many of the movies would be using 3D animation techniques that were developed and this would be common, Turner Whitted introduced Ray tracing which is known as rendering technique that gives realistic results, in the 1990's the industry of animation has increasingly showed more success commercially and Hollywood started introducing this type of animation in their well known movies such as Terminator 2 , Toy story, Beauty and the Beast and much more. [6] Pixar created their well known movie Toy Story in 1995 by using a complex system of model articulation as well as motion-control coding. [7]

3D Animation Software's

One of the biggest companies around the world which is Pixar uses a VFX software called RenderMan , this software has been used in their well known movies such as Frozen, The hobbit, Toy Story and many other well known movies, Renderman has been around since 1984. [8]

The software Presto is also known to be used by Disney for their 3D Animations, Presto is used for the animation, scene layout, rigging and other features that it has, and it is used for Disney's final rendering for their movies. [9]

Houdini is also used by Disney for their 3D animations, this software mainly specialises in effects and it si designed from the basics to be a procedural system which enables the designers to have freedom while using it, it also powerful asset building tools. [10]

Non-fungible token are most of the part Ethereum blockchain, as Ethereum is a cryptocurrency such as bitcoin the blockchain also supports NFT's, which the information that is stored works differently from an Ethereum coin, Blockchains can implement their own NFT's also. [21]

Non-fungible token are being used by the creators of NFT art such as gamers, brands and celebrities, it is a space which allow to create and share art which allows others to purchase, for instance the Nyancat gif has been sold for $690,000. [22]

Unlike usual [cryptocurrency]], NFT's are not able to be directly exchanged with one another, the reason for this is due to the fact that two NFT's cannot be identical and exist within the same platform or in the same collection, for instance they can be seen as tickets as tickets have a unique information in each of the tickets with the buyer's name and the date of the event, therefore it's impossible for the tickets to be traded with another one. [23]

Non-fungible token first came about in 2017 with the game called CryptoKitties which allowed users to purchase and breed a limited edition virtual cat. From there on the game developers created NFTs in a way that allowed gamers to win in game prizes. [24]

An Australian crypto trader made about $15 Million in Bitcoin and bought NFT based goods such as a $1.5 Million virtual land in Axie Infinity which is a virtual universe, like him many others have done the same where they show off their collections online. [25]

Semiotics is an investigation into how meaning is created and how it's viewed, it also shows how it is communicated, the history of semiotics consists of how signs and symbols which are visual and linguistics create meaning, such as if you look at a traffic light you will view it and interpret it or also known as decoding this sign and the sign enables us to navigate our streets. [26]

Semiotics uses common signs which are understood globally such as emojis, traffic signs, and corporate logos, these are written and as well as spoken languages which all include Semiotics in the form of references to cultures. [27]

At the most basic level Semiotics is the study of how meaning is made, therefore anything which can communicate a meaning beyond itself, for instance if we look at a sign which has an arrow pointing in a direction with a toilet sign, we can tell the meaning that there is a bathroom in that direction, therefore semiotics becomes useful to marketers. [28]

Semiotics has been used in many advertisements, as you cannot consumer commercially a sponsored video without visually seeing any semiotic symbols or signs, advertisers use this to show the viewer that the semiotic represents a service or product so it can influence you to purchase it and makes you feel that their prodcut is important in your life, therefore it motives the viewer. [29]

Semiotics has 3 definitions, the first is Semantics which is the relation between signs and the things that the refer to, it focuses more on the relationship between the signifiers, the second is Syntactics which relations more on the signs in formal structures such as grammar, the third is Pragmatics which is the relation between the sign and the effect it has on the person who views them depending on the context.
