Dave Russell is a Canadian television director, who works principally as a director of reality television and live awards broadcasts.[1] He began his career working for MuchMusic as the director of Big Ticket concert specials in the 1980s,[2] and later the annual MuchMusic Video Awards in the 1990s and 2000s.[3] He later became a freelance director of event broadcasts such as the Juno Awards, the Canadian Country Music Awards and the Giller Prize galas.
