There are some major reasons why researchers and analysts tend to use aggregate data in comparative political analysis, including its higher availability than other types of data and the fact that significant data related to the studies are often expressed in per capita terms rather than in individual terms.[1]

One significant nature of aggregate data is that it can relate to multiple situations and areas and provide crucial insights into social issues.[2]

There is potential for aggregate data to produce delusive inferences about individual units which are eminent for findings in literature.[3] This is due to the fact that during the process of averaging units within some cluster, information is lost which therefore, increases the probability of drawing inaccurate inferences.[3]

Another type of aggregate data called financial aggregates are data about credit and the money supply in Australia.[4]

Banks such as the ANZ and the Commonwealth Bank in Australia collect aggregated data from a significant number of customers and use those data to estimate economic trends.[5]

Diagram of Aggregate Data

This media is created by drawing and then scanning to make a digital copy. This image depicts the basic meaning of aggregate data, which is a combination of individual data. It is my own work as I drew it by myself from scratch. The file format is an image, a JPG, and I have chosen a public domain license. I will add it into the 'Data Structure Diagrams' category as I found this category quite linkable. I will describe the file as Aggregate Data Diagram.
