The Zimbabwe Solar System is an incomplete permanent scale model of the Solar System, set to be the world's second largest. It was organized by Harare International School (HIS) and is being built with the help of ________. The Sun is represented by ______. While the inner planets can also be found ____, the outer planets are situated _____. The majority of the planets have been placed at some of these collaborating schools, or on the peaks of mountains. The system was started by Dr. Christian Feldt and Andrei Feldt, teachers at HIS. The model represents the Solar System on the scale of 1:33 million.
The system
[edit]The bodies represented in this model include the Sun, the planets (and some of their moons), dwarf planets and multiple types of small bodies (comets, asteroids, trans-Neptunians, etc.). Because of the existence of many small bodies in the real Solar System, the model can always be further increased.
The Sun is represented by the _____, in diameter.
Inner planets
[edit]- Mercury (123,456,789 cm (48,605,035 in) in diameter) is placed at _____, 123,456 m (76.712 mi) from the _____. The small metallic sphere was ______, and _____ by __(person)___.
- Venus
- Earth
- Mars
