Welcome!

Some cookies to welcome you!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Jaylon305! I am Mysdaao and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

You might want to read our frequently asked questions about them before changing categories on articles. Andrewlp1991 (talk) 23:59, 21 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of content

[edit]

Please refrain from removing the leads from anymore of the Billboard single charts. Per WP:L, lists are required to a lead. MS (Talk|Contributions) 01:50, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is the second time I am asking you to stop removing the content from the Billboard articles. As I told you in my previous post hey are needed per the guideline above and your reasoning for removing them are not valid reasons. I disagree with your changes and so does Gimmetrow (talk · contribs). Before making changes again go to the talk page of anyone of those articles or the talk of WT:RECORD and start a discussion. Also, you should read up on what is vandalism because the revert I made was NOT vandalism. MS (Talk|Contributions) 04:33, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you'll take a moment to read the archives seen here and here we've discussed genres before. Glossing over her music as inherently pop does her a great disservice as the actual structure of her music has been Rhythm and Blues. Moreover her first two albums were heavily infused with reggae and dancehall. That is what made her famous. It wasn't until Good Girl Gone Bad that she adopted a more mainstream pop sound, and even then, she is still using R&B and hip hop influences. The article should give an overview of her entire career, not give emphasis on WP:RECENTISM activity. The Bookkeeper (of the Occult) 03:08, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Do not revert or overhaul these pages again without gaining consensus. There was already discussion to change the lists to their current table format, and these lists were also peer-reviewed and given featured-list status. Reverting them repeatedly will lead to a block. - eo (talk) 00:27, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

February 2012

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Hip hop music, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. March 2012

[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Take Care, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 21:09, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you feel your change is justifiable, then bring it up at the talk page first to propose it and get others' comments. Dan56 (talk) 21:54, 2 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Take Care, you may be blocked from editing. Dan56 (talk) 06:16, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you remove or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did at Take Care, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Dan56 (talk) 19:18, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

While I was not the editor who originally added a Rihanna image there, I am on the side of keeping one for the reason images are used: to illustrate the article's content. You seem to be the only one opposing, so I suggest you find some consensus at the article talk page first before you get yourself blocked for a little image preference/dispute. Dan56 (talk) 19:23, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This issue will be resolved at the article's talk page, here. Comment, or don't bother to edit the image again. Dan56 (talk) 02:21, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Collaborative editing

[edit]

Hi Jaylon,
I'd like to leave you with a few pointers about editing Wikipedia, and how to resolve editing disputes in the future. While I don't agree with the notices in the above section that characterized your edits as vandalism, this disagreement still wasn't handled as well as it could have been.
While bold edits are welcome and encouraged, and every constructive editor is invited to make edits to improve articles, this method is bound to provoke disagreements. Other editors may not agree with your opinion, and may undo your changes, or modify them. At such a point, all involved editors should begin to find a consensus on how the article should look like.
When you first removed the image you gave an explanation in the edit summary, which was good. Dan disagreed with the removal and undid your change, again with an explanation in the edit summary. What should have happened now is that you two discuss the change, preferably on the article's talk page, to find a consensus. This is called the "bold, revert, discuss" editing principle and usually it works very well. It may sound like a lot of work for a simple change, but I believe it's the only way that building this encyclopedia by a community can work at all.
Dan has now started such a discussion about the appropriateness of the image in question on the talk page, to see what other editors think, and to hopefully find a consensus. I have linked the relevant style guideline WP:IMAGE RELEVANCE there as well. If you still think the image should be removed after you had a look at the policy please do comment there as well to make your case.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
Kind regards, Amalthea 11:33, 7 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop making edits which do not reflect established consensus that has been discussed at the article's talk page, as you did here. Such edits may constitute vandalism and can result in the loss of your editing privileges. Please discuss controversial edits on the talk page. Thank you. Dan56 (talk) 21:15, 11 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Lil Wayne with this edit, did not appear to be constructive, and has been reverted or removed. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded with this edit. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Zad68 (talk) 18:56, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did to Rihanna with this edit, you may be blocked from editing. Zad68 (talk) 18:57, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to Kanye West. Zad68 (talk) 18:59, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
