The Gately's People Store building explosion occured just 2 weeks after the contested mayoral election between  Lori Lightfoot and Toni Preckwinkle, releasing former Mayor Rahm Emanuel from his 10 year term as mayor of Chicago, Illinois and also between the tough gubernatorial race of Republican Governor Bruce Rauner and Democratic billionaire businessman and investor, .J. B. Pritzker .

Another International ministry made its way to the Far South Side of Chicago, when the youngest daughter of Bishop TD Jakes, made one of her first public US conferences at The House of Hope/Salem Baptist Church, called Night of the Wild, by Sarah Jakes Roberts, on February 19, 2019. The sermon was broadcasted worldwide on Christian Ministry television and on social media outlets worldwide from Facebook, YouTube, TBN, DayStar and other Christian ministry outlets.

Roseland is still a small community in the far South Side of Chicago with Alderman Anthony Beale as district community leader, Senator Emil Jones, III as Illinois State Senator and other community church leaders. Roseland Christian Ministries headed by Pastor Joe Huizenga and the MegaChurch, the House of Hope also known as, Salem Baptist Church, headed by Reverend James T. Meeks.

Since the stance of the Gately's Peoples Store Building explosion in South Side Chicago, the founded has been extremely involved politically with local, state, federal government and community leaders on basic fire prevention, public gas and power utilities and building structure construction assistance as needed.
