Institute of History of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Polish: nstytut Historii im. Tadeusza Manteuffla Polskiej Akademii Nauk) is a Scientific Institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences, based in Warsaw on the Old Town Square 29/31 in the building at St. Anna. The Institute was established in 1953 as an outpost of Sciences and its creator and first director was the historian of the Middle Ages prof. Dr. Tadeusz Manteuffel.

Wilhelm Schott (September 3, 1802, Mainz - January 21, 1889 Berlin) is a German philologist and Orientalist generalist, linguist (proposed methods for studying grammar of languages, which insulate the roots), a researcher of folk poetry, myths, history and culture and the Finnish Central Asian peoples. Polyglot: Owned by the Turkish, Persian, Japanese, Chinese, Manchu, Tibetan, Thai, Vietnamese, Kazakh, Chuvash, Chagatai, Finnish and Hungarian languages, as well as a number of Indian languages. Known studies of Finnish and Mongolian-Tibetan epics.
