Ralph Elliott Morrison (born July 21, 1988) is a student at Williams College and a recent graduate of Danville High School in Danville, Kentucky.
Biography
[edit]Early life
[edit]Throughout much of his childhood, Ralph moved frequently, spending time in several states include a stint in Phoenix, Arizona. When his father was offered a position at Centre College in 1993, the Morrison family moved to Danville. There, Ralph attended Edna L. Toliver Elementary school for Kindergarten through second grade. Ralph completed his elementary schooling at the local Montessori school. Throughout his elementary school career, Ralph played soccer for various local teams. Ralph returned to the Danville Independent Schools for middle school and attended Bate Middle School from 1999 to 2002, where he participated in the academic team and other activities.
High School and Accomplishments
[edit]While at Danville High School, Ralph participated in a number of school and extra-curricular activities. He earned a second degree black belt in Shao Lin. He continued his participation in the academic team and moved onto the quiz bowl team, including earning a number of district and regional level awards. Ralph also appeared in several school theater productions, including roles in To Kill a Mockingbird, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Words, Words, Words, and The Good Doctor.
However, Ralph's primary focus in his sophomore, junior, and senior years of high school was forensics. Ralph earned numerous awards at invitational tournaments for his participation in such events as Original Oratory, humorous interpretation, and storytelling. He and his partner were state champions in Improvisational Duo in 2005 and state runners-up in 2006. Ralph advanced to the national tournament of the National Forensic League in Duo Interpretation in 2006 and, while there, advanced to the semi-final round in Expository speaking with his speech on yo mama jokes.
During this time, Morrison also took a rigorous course load, include taking eight Advanced Placement courses (all of which he recived perfect exam scores for). Morrison graduated in the top 3 in his class and spoke at graduation. He was accepted into several prestigious colleges including Oberlin College and Wesleyan University, but ultimately decided to attend Williams College, where he plans to study something in the mathematical or scientific fields and promote hatred of Williams's rival Amherst College. He also plans to continue his regular editing of Wikipedia.
Personal
[edit]Ralph is currently single, though looking.
He enjoys spending time on Facebook, MySpace, and Wikipedia. He is currently engaged in several poke battles on Facebook.
His favorite foods include pasta and Swedish fish.
His a fierce ninja partisan in the ongoing ninja vs. pirates struggle.
His trademark clothing style involves black t-shirts, dark colored fleeces, and khaki or denim shorts or jeans. He does, however, enjoy dressing up in suits.
He enjoys a variety of kinds of music, though he is especially fond of O.A.R., Barenaked Ladies, and Green Day, which he listens to on his iPod.
His favorite films include the Lord of the Rings and Matrix trilogies, as well as Jude Law films. He is a major fan of the Simpsons, Lost, and House.
He is Scrabble afficianado and once scored 150 points in one turn against a family member.
He edits Wikipedia on his iMac.
