May 2022[edit]

  1. Draft:HBO Kids: nominated at MfD 15:57, 27 May 2022 (UTC)
  2. J. Irvin Dally: nominated at AfD; notified Slothstalk (talk · contribs) 11:16, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Highly promotional article on non-notable musician, doesn't come close to meeting WP:MUSICBIO or WP:GNG. Can't find any independent coverage online, apart from this appearance on university radio station CapRadio [1].
  3. Annie Williams (singer): nominated at AfD; notified Slothstalk (talk · contribs) 11:46, 31 May 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-notable musician, doesn't meet WP:MUSICBIO or WP:GNG. Can't find any independent coverage online, apart from a few mentions on music blogs.

June 2022[edit]

  1. Swiss School of Business Research: nominated at AfD; notified Historyman66 (talk · contribs) 00:43, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Non-accredited college, no evidence of meeting WP:NSCHOOL, WP:ORG or WP:GNG, can't find any independent coverage in reliable sources.
  2. Khaled Ahmed Abdelaty Farag: nominated at AfD; notified Khaledahmed1992 (talk · contribs) 11:50, 20 June 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: As with the previous AFD in 2020 (and the followup post in Jan. 2022, speedy deleted G4), there's no evidence of him meeting WP:NFOOTY yet, and the article is still referenced almost exclusively with copies of the same "Egyptian Ronaldo" text, but posted to new websites this time. I can't find any evidence that he's played in a professional match yet, though I'll say up front that I'm relying on Google Translate for the Arabic, and fluent Arabic speakers might find a reliable source that I've missed. Note that second division Baynounah SC was formerly known as "Sport Support". Article appears to be an autobiography.

July 2022[edit]

  1. Honeytrap: nominated at AfD; notified GeniusDan (talk · contribs) 10:42, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't meet WP:BAND: sole claim to fame seems to have been a passing mention by Bowie in his Times column. They seem to have broken up, as I can't find tour dates listed after 2010. No significant coverage in mainstream or notable music press, and no charting singles or albums. Tried to find evidence of them being played on the BBC or XFM. Editors wanting to dig for more should note that there are at least two other bands with similar names: HoneyTrap from York, and Honey Trap from NYC.
  2. Category:Murliganj: nominated at CfD (CfD); notified Sir Ankur (talk · contribs) 15:28, 4 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Per WP:Overcategorization and specifically WP:SMALLCAT, this category contains a single article about a small town with fewer than 30k population - category has little or no potential for growth.
  3. Aaron Ironside: nominated at AfD; notified Redwood1969 (talk · contribs) 04:05, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Autobiography created by single-purpose account. No indication of notability by WP:GNG or WP:BIO. I declined a speedy on this by a third editor, as it doesn't quite meet A7 or G11. He's a radio presenter, and was formerly on the morning show of a national station, but the only coverage I can find of him is passing mentions as the spokesman for a group campaigning in a referendum in 2020, with no significant coverage of Ironside himself. Being a spokesman in a one-off campaign doesn't meet WP:POLITICIAN, and is more of a WP:BLP1E. You can read more of his defense of his own notability at Talk:Aaron Ironside and User talk:Redwood1969.
  4. Colin Singer: nominated at AfD; notified Globalbandit (talk · contribs) 09:29, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
  5. Chiranjeevi Jetty: nominated at AfD; notified Vadiraj31 (talk · contribs) 07:29, 26 July 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: This article was created 3 days after its 2017 deletion following AFD. It's not in the Wayback Machine, so unclear how close it is to the original. As before, he's a minor functionary in a political party, lacks WP:SIGCOV, and fails WP:POLITICIAN.

August 2022[edit]

  1. NexTech AR Solutions Corp.: nominated at AfD; notified Paradise coyote (talk · contribs) 09:14, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable by WP:CORP. Company is listed on the CSE and the FSE, but as noted at WP:LISTED, while that should make it much more likely for a company to be notable, it doesn't guarantee it. So, while trying to replace the sea of press releases with some RS, I was surprised to find there's almost no independent, secondary coverage of the company online. Just a ton of press releases, and passing mentions in the financial press. The article as created was pretty over-the-top marketing [6], complete with ™ symbols and gushing self-promo quotes from the CEO. This was made even worse last month by Special:Contributions/Purple_2020, whose COI was pretty obvious, but I'll assume that there's no connection with the article creator. Editors User:WikiDan61, User:Canterbury Tail and I cleaned out the worst of the blatant marketing and lame attempts to connect the company with COVID response, but what remains doesn't assert notability per WP:CORP or WP:GNG.
  2. Ricardo Lewitus: nominated at AfD; notified Gatodemichi (talk · contribs) 12:01, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: An impressive list of accomplishments, but I can't find any significant coverage of him in secondary, reliable sources, or evidence that he meets WP:BIO, WP:AUTHOR, WP:CREATIVE, or WP:GNG.
  3. Category:Chinese list of cults: nominated at CfD (CfR); renaming to Category:Chinese cults; notified Immanuelle (talk · contribs) 11:01, 11 August 2022 (UTC)
  4. Aurora Rey: nominated at AfD; notified Marajozkee (talk · contribs) 09:13, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable by WP:AUTHOR, with no substantial coverage yet in reliable sources. Her shortlisting for literary awards in recent years suggests that that might change, so no prejudice against re-creating the article in a few years if coverage improves. A move to draft in the meantime would also be fine by me, as an alternative to deletion.
  5. Reina Abu: nominated at AfD; notified RealMeep (talk · contribs) 11:05, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable by WP:POLITICIAN. Her father is a notable politician, but notability is not inherited. Can't find substantial coverage of her as a candidate, apart from the routine press coverage given all candidates for national office. No prejudice against re-creating the article in a few years if she wins office. A move to draft in the meantime would also be fine by me, as an alternative to deletion.
  6. Real Bible Translation: nominated at AfD; notified Mattp1260 (talk · contribs) 06:46, 26 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: A new Bible translation project apparently run by the article creator, with no coverage online apart from the project's own blog. The article is entirely original research, with none of the references actually mentioning the project, since they all predate it (including one from 1862). Speedy deleted once already.
  7. Vectare: nominated at AfD; notified Maxboe225 (talk · contribs) 05:47, 31 August 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Fails WP:CORP, no significant coverage in reliable sources, just passing mentions of service changes in local press. Won a trade award in 2018, but award's notability looks weak. Declined twice at draft, then moved to Vectare (bus operator) anyway, by a new account that certainly seems to have hit the ground running on bus company templates and articles.

September 2022[edit]

  1. Ferocious Bloodaxe: nominated at AfD; notified K Bargie (talk · contribs) 18:12, 2 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Student project, "minor cult hit" as noted in article. Created by person connected with the films, and conflict of interest shows in the promotional tone throughout. Can't find anything about it online, apart from their blog last updated in 2013. No sign of this meeting WP:NFILM or WP:GNG.
  2. Rajanandini: nominated at AfD; notified Stylish Siba (talk · contribs) 06:28, 5 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not notable by WP:NTV, all I can see online about is a few press releases and paid announcements on media blogs. Can't find any mention of it on the Colors Odia site, or any independent reviews in English or Odia. It does appear to exist, since there are episode bootlegs available online. Editors searching for coverage, please note that there's an unrelated film with this name.
  3. Category:New Thought movement: nominated at CfD (CfM); merging to Category:New Thought; notified T. Anthony (talk · contribs) 08:55, 6 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: New Thought is itself a movement, so this child category is redundant, and makes it harder to find sub-categories.
  4. Paris Wallace: nominated at AfD; notified Alaina O'Neal (talk · contribs) 10:05, 14 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't yet meet WP:BIO or WP:GNG. Impressive list of achievements, but can't find significant coverage from independent sources about Wallace himself in a WP:BEFORE search, only passing mentions in articles about biotech business and about the cycling league he started. The Harvard Business School coverage is significant, but not independent. The 2017 Business Journal "40 under 40" listing is neither notable nor secondary, and is mostly an interview with Wallace.
The article was created by an editor with a new account but apparent expertise in article creation, who has helpfully declared paid editing at their user page, but then gone ahead and created the article in main space rather than submit it as a draft for review.
  5. Vaibhav Vinay Maloo: nominated at AfD; notified Jehowahyereh (talk · contribs) 13:39, 19 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Quoting Smalljim's nomination at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Vaibhav Maloo (2nd nomination): "Despite appearances, there is nothing to show notability here. Although the article has been re-worked since the previous AfD, all the references are either passing mentions, or don't mention the subject, or are not independent. There is no significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject as required by WP:BIO or WP:N." Some of the sources are newer, but it's the same mix of puff pieces, press releases, passing mentions, and doesn't-even-mention-hims. His company and his father might be notable, but notability is not inherited on Wikipedia. Editors searching for any significant, independent coverage I might have missed, please note that his name is commonly spelled Vaibhav Maloo.
  6. List of Shoulda Been Stars seasons: nominated at AfD; notified LaneFrost00 (talk · contribs) 17:48, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
  7. National Scholarship Portal: nominated at AfD; notified NoworNever007 (talk · contribs) 12:44, 29 September 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: The National Scholarship Portal itself appears to be notable by WP:WEB, with reasonable news coverage, but this article is actually a list of scholarships offered by central and state governments, and how-to information. It's mostly referenced by the commercial website "buddy4study.com", and to some extent the government website Vikaspedia, and it's larded with inline external links. No doubt this could be useful to students, and the article could be renamed, but it's not an encyclopaedia article, and Wikipedia:NOTDIRECTORY.

October 2022[edit]

  1. Vinay Maloo: nominated at AfD; notified Deepakxx (talk · contribs) 10:45, 21 October 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Despite appearances, there is nothing to show notability here. All the references bar one [7] are either passing mentions, or don't mention the subject, or are not independent. In a WP:BEFORE search, I can find no significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject as required by WP:BIO or WP:N. It's a mix of obvious paid puff pieces, press releases, churnalism, passing mentions, and doesn't-even-mention-hims. Enso Group and HFCL might be notable, but notability is not inherited on Wikipedia Conflict of interest is evident by the promotional tone and heavy use of press releases and paid content. It's basically a WP:CFORK of Enso Group, and there's very little useful, verifiable information here for a merge to that article.
See also WP:Articles for deletion/Vaibhav Vinay Maloo, which was deleted on the same grounds, even after an almighty refbombing by a strike team of sockpuppets.

November 2022[edit]

  1. Tick oaT Two: nominated at AfD; notified TheUnablePoep (talk · contribs) 08:44, 1 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced, fails WP:GNG. Only coverage I can find online is three YouTube videos and a Reddit post, all created in the last few days. Tic tac toe has been semi-protected over repeated unsourced addition there, and it looks like Tic tac toe variants will be next. Doesn't seem to qualify for A11, but it certainly is a recently made-up and non-notable game. Proposed deletion contested without comment, by one of the new accounts pushing this.
  2. The Mystic Deckchairs: nominated at AfD; notified Webcore (talk · contribs) 07:37, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced orphan, fails WP:BAND, only claim to notability is one notable former member. I can find only passing mentions of it online, in bios of Hewitt.
  3. Ali Naajih: nominated at AfD; notified Maxi1963 (talk · contribs) 15:26, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Doesn't yet meet WP:SPORTBASIC. In a WP:BEFORE search I can find only passing mentions of him in two match reports for 2021. Declined in draft a few hours before it was posted here unsourced. His name isn't given in Divehi, so I tried searching for the Google translation ޢަލީ ނާޖިޙް, though I'm not sure that's the correct spelling of his name.
  4. Vicky Barnecutt: nominated at AfD; notified Annoyed-Briefs-in-Jenkins (talk · contribs) 09:56, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable by Wikipedia:Notability (academics), WP:BIO or WP:GNG. Works for and with some notable institutions, but I can't find her on Scopus, and citations are low on Google Scholar. No coverage of her work online in reliable mainstream press sources either.
  5. Mustafa Kemal Ataküfr: nominated at AfD; notified Amr.elmowaled (talk · contribs) 15:35, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Unsourced, with no indication of notability per Wikipedia:Neologism. In a WP:BEFORE search, I can find "Ataküfr" only mentioned in passing in a single, non-notable blog, and in a non-notable student essay on academia.edu.
  6. Michael Sugrue: nominated at AfD; notified GuardianH (talk · contribs) 16:20, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: An impressive list of achievements, but doesn't meet WP:NPROF or WP:BIO. There was a discussion about notability a month ago at the talk page, but nothing seems to have come of that. A WP:BEFORE search shows that the one solid source is the American Conservative profile currently cited. I can find only one paper by him on Scopus, and low citation count on Google Scholar (note that there's an Australian surgeon with the same name, so you'll need to exclude a few keywords in your search).
The article creator wrote in an edit summary that he passes on points 6 and 7 of WP:NPROF. On point 6, I can only find that he was the chair of Ave Maria University's Core Curriculum Committee. On point 7, he has contributed lectures to The Great Courses series, but I can't find reviews of those lectures online in reliable sources, or other evidence of "substantial impact outside academia in their academic capacity".
  7. Dan Matteucci: nominated at AfD; notified BeanyB (talk · contribs) 00:51, 24 November 2022 (UTC)
    • Reason: Not yet notable by WP:NACTOR or WP:BIO. Only minor or uncredited roles so far, and I can find no significant coverage from reliable sources in a WP:BEFORE search. Claim of "best actor" award won is vague and unsourced.
  8. Joshua Timothy Newton: nominated at AfD; notified Jose Leonardus (talk · contribs) 16:26, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
