Hi, I am writing an article for a Sri Lankan automobile company as part of my university assignment. Under a section about the company's notable appearances on global news, I want to relate it to how the name of the company became searched up more than before.
Would this count as original research? The data is publicly available through Google trends and I am just gathering it. Just wanted to make sure there won't be any repercussions?

- It would be original research for you to take Google data and use it to draw a conclusion that is not found in independent reliable sources(that search data for the company is tied to appearances on the news). It would probably be okay for you to put the two pieces of information separately(search information and media appearances) but not to link them unless a reliable source does that for you. 331dot (talk) 10:47, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
