Shakey Jake
[edit]Yes. I understand that nearly everyone called him "Shakey Jake" and that the sources that described him otherwise missed the point. But sometimes sources did describe him as "Shakin' Jake", and we go with what the sources say. So please stop making that change. It's only going to get reverted, each time you make it. And if you really persist, the article will be protected so that you can't even make constructive changes. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 12:13, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
- Here we are again. Yes, yes. I understand. "Shakey Jake", not "Shakin' Jake". But there we have a source, and sources trump personal knowledge. Please leave the article alone, as much as it upsets you. Thanks. JohnInDC (talk) 22:42, 29 October 2017 (UTC)
- Source: http://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2007/09/shakey-jake-mov.html Source (not in article, probably not an RS, but an actual visible usage): https://localwiki.org/ann-arbor/Shakey_Jake Source (likewise): http://blog.mlive.com/annarbornews/2007/09/shaky_jake_dies_sunday_at_the.html Source (see photo caption): http://oldnews.aadl.org/taxonomy/term/93897
- The point is that if you Google '"shakin jake" Ann arbor' you get pages of hits. No it wasn't what most people knew him as but if you dig a little there are loads of examples of this "sometimes" usage. JohnInDC (talk) 22:49, 29 October 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that in this edit to Gerald R. Ford International Airport, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Materialscientist (talk) 21:51, 8 March 2023 (UTC)
