Information icon Hello, I'm Hammersoft. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Ras Al-Khair Power and Desalination Plant have been undone because they did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you have any questions, you can ask for assistance at the Teahouse or the Help desk. Thanks. --Hammersoft (talk) 19:11, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop changing the infobox at Ras Al-Khair Power and Desalination Plant as you are doing with this. The cost of the plant is already covered on Wikidata and included in the infobox. Further, the plant is not located off the coast of Ghana as you are trying to assert. Please stop. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 23:29, 15 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

wait what ? am not trying to change the location all i did is fix the cost of the project 196.178.134.62 (talk) 00:13, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
There's nothing to fix. The cost of the project was already updated on Wikidata. What you are doing is forcing an override of Wikidata without any reason. Please revert yourself. --Hammersoft (talk) 00:43, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No response? As I noted, your edit is overriding information already extant in the infobox without any reason to do so. Unless you have some explanation for this such that we need to override what was already there, I'll be removing it. So, please either explain this or not revert...yet again...when your unexplained actions are reverted. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 14:24, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
i think there misconception here so let me clear it up
the cost that was showing in the infobox was 27 million insted of 27 billion so i fixed it to the reflect the actual data present in the wikidata you can revert the edit and see for yourself am not trying to vandalize or anything i was just trying to fix it 196.178.134.62 (talk) 14:47, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You didn't fix anything. Please view the wikidata entry for this plant at https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q28653972. Scroll down to (or search for) "cost". Please observe that is says "27,000,000,000". I think you and I are both able to understand that is 27 billion, not 27 million, not 27 thousand, not 27. It's 27 BILLION. Are we clear on that? I hope so. I don't understand how that could be misinterpreted. If there is a way that 27,000,000,000 could be misinterpreted to being 27 million, I'm very open to hearing it. Now, the infobox rendering of the wikidata entry notes "27,000 million". I think you and I are both able to understand that 27,000 million isn't 27 million. See, there's 3 zeroes in there you are not accounting for, so perhaps that was just an oversight on your part. What is not an oversight on your part is your absolute intransigence in forcing your version of the data into the article, rather than working within the wikidata item and/or within the format supplied by Template:Infobox power station. Many other people have worked on Wikidata and on that template. 83 different editors have contributed to the construction of that template. Your yourself have contributed to the Wikidata entry. So why the intransigence? The Wikidata item is what we are using. It already says it's 27 billion. There is no reason to force the template to display something other than what is in the Wikidata item. Are we clear now? Further, in all these changes you have been attempting to force your way as the only way this information can be provided...yet haven't supplied any references. This isn't how we do things on Wikipedia. I think perhaps you have finally learned that lesson in the section below. The data IS in the Wikidata item, and the template is already calling that information, including the coordinates. If you want to change how the template is displaying Wikidata information, then start at a discussion about it at Template talk:Infobox power station. Trying to force your way against everyone else on this project isn't going to work. You can either figure out how to work with the community or you will eventually find yourself outside the community because the community will not accept your actions, as you have seen below. --Hammersoft (talk) 17:43, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
So find another source to add; but Wikipedia articles may not be cited as a source in Wikipedia articles. General Ization Talk 01:50, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I just explained to you that Wikipedia articles may not be cited as a source in Wikipedia articles, and what do you do but add the same links to other Wikipedia articles again. Competence is required. General Ization Talk 01:54, 16 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Cost parameters

[edit]

Hi, the cost parameters have been removed from Template:Infobox aircraft type by WP:AIR consensus, and will no longer display. So please stop adding costs to aircraft article infoboxes. Thanks. BilCat (talk) 22:27, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
