Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

Someone using this IP address, 24.99.112.24, has made edits to 2018 New York state elections that do not conform to our policies and therefore have been reverted. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you did not do this, you may wish to consider getting a username to avoid confusion with other editors.

Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and a timestamp. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask the Help Desk, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions.

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in 1980 United States gubernatorial elections, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Donner60 (talk) 03:24, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Please see Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Abbreviations. Abbreviations should not be substituted for complete words with only minor exceptions such as part of direct quotes.

I will not send messages about reverting other edits in which you used abbreviations, such as "1st" instead of "first" but I will revert them. You can check back on them and write them in line with the guidelines. If you wish to have notices, I can list them after they come through me for review (assuming that they do; I am not going to go looking for them). I do suggest that you change them yourself and avoid using them in sentences unless permitted in the Manual of Style. Donner60 (talk) 03:41, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, 2012 United States Senate election in North Dakota, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! Hello, and thank you for your recent contribution. I appreciate the effort you made for our project, but unfortunately I had to undo your edit because I believe the article was better before you made that change.
