Questionable edits to geopolitical subdivision articles[edit]
Hello. I see you made edits to a large number of geopolitical articles changing the displayed names of countries' subdivisions and, in some cases, the destination to which links for them lead. In most cases (though your edits for Armenia and Bhutan appear proper), your edits amounted to replacing the names by which places are commonly known in English by their spellings in their native languages or by phonetic or phonemic transcriptions. It is better for this English Wikipedia's English-speaking audience to use the names by which places are commonly known in English. For that reason, because there were a few errors as well, and because in some cases there was really no need to change what had already been there, I and several other editors of reverted your edits on those article.
If you have any questions about this or about other edits you're thinking of making, let me know. You can start a new section at the bottom of my talk page if you'd like.

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Local councils of Malta. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively, you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. You removed necessary disambiguations from some links so they no longer pointed to the right place. Hello, I'm LauritzT. I noticed that you recently removed content from Provinces of Zambia without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. — Lauritz Thomsen (talk) 20:24, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Maybe you haven't seen the talk page but your changing the subdivision names to the spelling in their language is not good. It is better to use the English spelling for this is en-Wikipedia. Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Zambia, you may be blocked from editing. You assumed the {{flag}} would fill in a flag for just any location you might enter, leaving the article damaged when the templates displayed error messages. I had to revert your changes. This is consistent with you growing number of edits overall in which you've broken links or replaced them with links to the wrong places. Please pay attention to the effects of your edits. It's your responsibility to make sure they're correct. Largoplazo (talk) 21:30, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Tatar language. Scorbunny (talk) 17:00, 20 October 2020 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
